The Wedding Host - Perth's Wedding DJ and Celebrant

April 2024 marked 5 whole years since I was first celebrant, for my cousin Claire and her husband Matt. To answer your question - yes, I did make a joke that day about marrying my cousin.

The milestone didn’t register back in April, it was a busy month, and the time has passed by SO fast. I don’t even know exactly how many weddings it’s been, I stopped counting at 100 and that was a while ago!

I occasionally get the pleasure of running into a couple by surprise - at a bar, a supermarket, at another wedding, even at Bunnings once. I love that no many how many ceremonies happen, as soon as I run into a couple like that, it’s as if it all happened just yesterday.

It’s awesome how every wedding feels like the only wedding ever. Not only is every couple’s story unique, but also their circle of friends and family, how they have fun, dance, and how they enjoy each other’s company.

Each wedding is this distinct slice of life, a window into the world that two people create around them as they come together, and looking into that window so many times every year is one of my favourite things about being a celebrant. Here’s to many more 🥂

Had the most awesome time possible as celebrant & DJ for Charlotte and Pete for one of my last weddings of the season. Not long after they booked, me and Pete realised our dads are actually mates - I knew this was definitely a good sign, and their wedding somehow ended up being even better than I'd anticipated.

Don't let the country theme fool you - while we kicked off the floor with a while lotta bootscootin', this one ended as full-blown rave and we ended up going til 130AM!

Thinking back to how much of a blast I had as Celebrant, DJ & MC for Liis and Jamie at the stunning back in November 🥳

They met 5 years ago when Liis came all the way over from Estonia to pick avocados at the orchard Jamie was working at, and wouldn't ya know it, they ended up picking each other!

We danced to classics, a nice sprinkling of newer dance stuff, and ended the night with a selection of Estonian bangers that went off JUST as hard, as you can see here.
