2023 AAOR Dressage Champs AELEC....
5 weeks post hand surgery 😱
Should we have gone 🤔 Probably not......But with only being able to hold the reins somewhat comfortably in the few days beforehand and VERY little prep....we got there 💪
With my draw time in the indoor brought significantly forward, unfortunately saw sunlight streaming in on 3 spots along the track 🫣 👹🤡, a few shy's later 🙄 (not ideal with a hand thats only just holding the rein as it is🤦‍♀️) we managed to keep it somewhat together and still scored 70+% from Judge @ C....
I am thrilled to have been able to actually attend such a well run Major event, as it wasn't looking very promising just the week before. I managed to gain a place overall in the Championship and am so proud of how my mare handled it with a handicapped pilot 🧑🏼‍✈️
My Dr review yesterday = happy generally but not so much with the general swelling and calluses around my scar tissue, ooops🙄🤭
Thank you to the Bangalow Creek crew, who always make going away such an enjoyable time.....💕
Looking very forward to 2024 and what it brings👌(preferably injury free 🤷‍♀️)

Had a great Weekend @ MVDHC Dressage Championships.
With only limited preparation due to my hand injury, we managed to come away with CR Elementary Champion and OC Elementary Champion with some really nice scores 😊
Only managed to drop the rein once in my final halt in the first test, oops 😬.

Had a fantastic weekend at the Great Southern Queensland Dressage Champs held at QSEC.
Although having only a handful of rides in the past 5 weeks due to a skin bacteria around the girth area....
Vanity still performed well in both the Elementary and Novice Championships.
5th and 6th in the AAOR Elementary for 5th overall and 8th overall in the AAOR Novice from big entries.
Still lots to work on, but super happy with how she handled the indoor for the first time 🙏
