Joy's Luck Emporium
Joy's Luck is a lovely made-at-home product with fun and love poured into every candle.
Been busy๐
Still applies...more than ever!!
Please choose Australian made candles. The Candlemaking Community in Australia has high ethics and standards about the products and supplies used. The downfall of our candlemaking industry is that there is very little regulation and governance ๐ญ you only have to put a warning sticker on your candle and you are good to go...scary!!!
Product and liability Insurance ( and many don't have it or bother) has more regulation such as testing is required and you cannot add anything to the top of the candles such as dried flowers or gems/crytals. Dried flowers can be flammable and crystals or gems can move, alter the wick and retain heat which will increase the risk of a container breaking or exploding.
(I will get off my "soapbox" now๐)

Hello Everyone, I have been MIA for over 2 years due to changing health and family situations. I made my first candles again after 2 years yesterday, and I loved every thing about it๐
My website joysluckemp.com.au is currently closed due to being too expensive both in time and money to maintain so I only have Facebook and Instagram at the moment.
If anyone wants candles, please let me know via messages๐
Looking for new direction and looking at how eco friendly my candlemaking can be....less packaging, printing, less chemicals use and recycling containers such as glass. Happy to hear from anyone about their thoughts on my candlemaking journey (or anything else๐).
Deb
How this all started!
My name is Kaitlin and my mum, Debbie-Joy (an indication as to why itโs call Joys Luck) found candle making in the early year of 2017. We had a rough one last year. She lost her mum and I lost my Nan. It was hard and being originally from Tasmania but residing in Far North Queensland left a lot for travelling. We got through all of this as a family and straight after we had my brothers wedding so most of our family was together again! HOW LUCKY!
My great grandmothers name was Joy Luck. Can you tell the irish heritage? And itโs simply named after her as an ode to our wonderful family and our humble beginnings and livings. This hobby/business and page are all dedicated to our family, history and where we have come from.
โShe lived in small coal mining town in Tasmania and she was the Avon lady. She always used to smell amazing, being an Avon lady. She used a lily hand moisturizer and now when I smell lily it reminds me of her. She was just a wonderful person and thatโs the best way I can describe her. โ
If you have taken the time to read this - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and you a completely wonderful person as well. We hope you have all the luck and joy in the world today!
