THIS STORY HAS A GREAT OUTCOME!
A few weeks back, a lovely lady contacted us about needing a bed for her Grandson. They already had a mattress, but it was longer than the bed base, it was a double bed and the mattress was a Long Double. At the time we could only think of an electric adjustable base however, the mechanics of an electric base was not warranted, and out of reach pricewise.
Non electric bases are not sold in a long version. So,........
Thinking outside the box, as we do at Bedz2U, we agreed to supply an Avante Brodie Steel Frame Base and do the necessary modification to extend the base from a standard Double to a Long Double length.
It turned out a treat, and is probably stronger than the original frame. The best part is that it doesn't look modified!
Today, Ben took delivery of his new bed base He was a very Happy Lad! and so are we at Bedz2U.

Caught up with this lovely lady, Lorna, whilst delivering her new bed.
Lorna and I go back 10 years or so, from when I first sold her and her late husband, Tom, a Recliner Lift chair when I worked for a different company. They were so impressed with the service and advise way back then, that they next purchased a new bed. One of the first Avante Smartflex V2's.
They followed me over to Bedz2u with absolute loyalty, dating back 6 odd years now! A second recliner was next, then a cushion, then some new mattresses, then an Avante Chair Bed for the son-in-law, and now the latest model from Avante, the ErgoAdjust Lo-Lo with Lorna's choice of mattress, the same as she had before having to move into full time care at Regis Caboolture, a Splendor Luxury.
I've also been enganged to do some service work and several times moved the beds from residence to residence and room to room.
I must say that Regis Caboolture is lovely inside, with caring staff, especially the very helpful Emma.
I'd never met any of the staff until today, but they new all about me. From way back and that first Recliner.

Congratulations to Angela. Today, Adam from Bedz2U NSW delivered her new Smartflex 2 Electric adjustable Bed. Judging by the smile on her face, we reckon it was worth all the dramas and waiting!
Angela's new bed was optioned with a pair of Splendor Supreme mattresses, a Bedside Grab Rail, Lithium Ion Battery Backup, and a nice set of correct fitting Microfibre Sheets.
As usual, Bedz2u provided an Aussie Made, Bambi Health Assurance Mattress Protector Pack. This pack was optioned up from the regular Cotton product to the CoolPass version.

At Bedz2u we are committed to helping our clients and much as we are in business to make a living.
Recently one of our previous clients had a change in circumstance and required a Patient Lifter to assist his lovely wife, and his carers, perform transfers before the hospital would sign off on him returning home.
Another couple, who are also one of our oldest clients, had a Patient Lifter sitting in the spare room, and had barely ever been used.
When hearing about the two, we purchased the Hoist from one client and on sold it to the other client.
Of course there was a a small fee added for the setting and delivery, but the end result was that both clients have had a problem solved, with one client putting a few dollars in their pocket, and the other saving a heap of money on hire costs.
This was made possible utilising many years of experience in the industry. Because the hoist had been sitting for so long unused, the battery need replacing and it also required a service. Both tasks we are qualified to do!
The hoist also required re-rigging from a fix hanger bar to a pivot frame, and new suitable slings.
I guess this is an excellent case of recycling too..... 😉

Delivered a new Splendor Supreme Mattress to Jen today, as the previous one was no longer suitable. The new mattress sits on a queen Smartflex 3 HiLo electric adjustable base that Bedz2u supplied a while ago. It's fantastic to have returning customers!
Jen may have a battle on her hands finding space for herself after the support co-ordinator, Del and Jen's niece Candace jumped in for a test and rather liked it!
