☔️🛵📪I see myself as being a solution based person!

So today meant a change of footwear for Tenille, a great mate on a scooter and me knocking on some doors in Waterford.

It was hot, it was wet, but it was worth it to get out and chat with some people!

Hope everyone had a great Australia Day long weekend 😎

🪧Starting to get signs out and about.

Thank you to everyone that has kindly offered to have my signs outside their house or on a fence.

If you think you may have a good spot for a sign and you’re happy to have my melon outside your house, please send me a private message.

As always, I appreciate the support!

School’s back for 2024.

I am fortunate to work in a position which allows me to support our young people within Education Queensland through numerous programs. This means that today is all about getting our young people settled to start building relationships and positive connections.

Every young person has a story and working with them to find their purpose, create connection and acceptance, leads to them feeling a sense of pride within themselves and a sense of belonging within their community.

Had a great night at the community event put together by Scott Bannan Division 9 and his team.

Having worked with Scott putting many different events together over the years, this is something that I want to bring to Division 4. I intend to provide opportunities for our community to connect and get out and enjoy what our great region has to offer.

It was fantastic to see so many of our current Councillors and campaigning candidates supporting a great event.

Well done to all the volunteers and performers 🙌🏽, without you nights like last night can’t happen!

Happy birthday to my beautiful wife, always right by my side supporting everything I do.

Being a country music tragic I recon Keith Urban sums it up perfectly.

They say behind every man is a good woman
But I think that's a lie
'Cause when it comes to you I'd rather have you by my side - Keith Urban

Happy birthday T***s 😘

It’s extremely humbling to talk to people about mental health and opening up real conversations is a unique experience.

Like everyone on this planet, I have experienced my own journey to get to where I am today and believe that life lessons have been my biggest educator.

My charity work with A Chance for Change ACFC has given me the opportunity to share some of these experiences over the years and help a few people along the way.

On Tuesday 2 of our boys Nathan and Bryce were invited to Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane to do a talk spreading ACFC's message that Speaking Up is Manning up to Slacks Creek rugby league seniors club! Great job boys! Yewwwwww ✊🏽💚

Mans best friend 🐶

We all think our own dogs are the best, but I have to say my little mate Mac is pretty special.

Not only is Mac one of our loved family pets, he has been a registered reading dog with the AWLQ reading dog program since he was 5 months old.

This enables me to take Mac into schools to provide students the opportunity to read aloud to the ‘reading dog’.

Happy Wednesday!

Called in to say hi to the team at Woodstock QLD today. I have had the opportunity to personally work and co-facilitate programs with Shane and Drew at this amazing facility.

Ian (CEO) and his team have some big announcements on the horizon that will positively impact our great community. I can’t wait to hear all about them.

One thing is for certain, everything that these guys do is for our young people and our community.

Keep up the great work legends!

Caught up with Kevin and Sue this afternoon. They were the first house in their street back when Yarrabilba only had the Caltex servo.

They do plenty of work within the community and you can catch Kevin volunteering at The Buzz Yarrabilba Community Centre - powered by YMCA.

We could have spent more time chatting, but Kevin and Sue had to get going as they were helping run the trivia at the Yarrabilba Hotel.

Will catch up again soon and appreciate your insight into our community.

Community helping Community is how a strong Community is developed!

I am a firm believer that relationships are the foundation of success. Sarah Weir is a community service legend who runs the Jimboomba Community & District Hall and lends a hand whenever the community needs it (Sarah worked relentlessly to help the community after the Christmas storms). My relationship with Sarah started when I ran mental health first aid training for Logan Council and we used the hall as the venue.

When Sarah called to see if I knew of anyone that could make good use of some essential care packs that they had, I knew that the new Salvos shop at Yarrabilba would ensure they got out to those that need them.

Kylie and the team at Salvos are all about supporting the community. Pop down and check out their new store at 60 Mill Street Yarrabilba.

This dance school has been operating in Logan for 38 years and where my daughter learnt to dance.

Come down next Saturday the 20th of January 2024 to experience a FREE trial class.

How good is the team of volunteers that run Yarrabilba parkrun !🏃

I had a great morning out at the Yarrabilba parkrun. A special shout out to Spencer. This legend walks the course before everyone arrives, cleans up 2x bags of rubbish to ensure the park is looking tiptop, and was the last person to leave.

The great thing about our community is you always run into someone you know. It was great to see my great mate and Logan Village resident Garry. As you can see by the photo, I struggled to keep up with his young fella Jack.

Finished off the morning rehydrating at the Yarrabilba Coffee Hub. Great coffee and even better service!

Was great to call in and chat with the legends at Logan Village Lions Club. The work and time these men and women put into the community is truly humbling. Great to share a few laughs and even ran into an old neighbour.

My Family is my heart and soul and I don't do anything without them. Having a supportive wife and family makes doing everything better.

I’m blessed to have had my wife Tenille by my side for the last 21 years, whether it be business, family or community work, we always have each other’s back and full support.

I believe an individual is only as strong as the team of support they have around them and I’m extremely blessed to have that in abundance from my family.

I am excited to announce I am running for Division 4 in the upcoming Logan election.

I have been a part of the Logan community for 40 years in both a professional and volunteer capacity.

I work passionately within the mental health space and have been a director of a mental health su***de prevention charity for the last 8 years.

I look forward to getting out into the community and bringing some fresh ideas and old school values.
