It is with an extremely heavy heart, we announce that a situation beyond our control, will force us to close our doors on May 17, 2024. The current premises that is The Angry Dog is now earmarked for demolition in early June in preparation for the development of an apartment building.

Whilst this was anticipated in the long term, the short and sudden timing of this was not. To say that we are absolutely gutted would be a massive understatement.

Whilst we delicately navigate this current situation, the wheels are already in motion for the next ideation of The Angry Dog in West Melbourne. So please stay tuned for more details.

We would like to sincerely thank all of The Angry Dog family. Suppliers, friends, family and most importantly, you, our valued patrons. The guidance, support and patronage over the journey thus far has been amazing.

So please join us on Friday, May 17 as we say farewell to Batman Street but not The Angry Dog…. We will be back.

That’s a wrap folks… What an amazing night for inaugural 1920’s Speakeasy. Special thanks to all who attended and really got into the spirit of the night, you all looked amazing.
