Due to the wet weather forecast, we've made the tough decision to cancel this weekend's World Street Eats. We're just as heartbroken as you are, but your safety and enjoyment is our top priority.
The good news is, it's just a rain check, not a goodbye! We'll be back next month ready to bring you the best and most consistent multicultural food market Launceston has ever seen. 🌍🍽️

It’s a very big week of ‘lasts’.. The last biscuits are baked, the last egg order picked up, the last oliebollen prepped and tomorrow is our last stroopwafel day. Equipment is finding new homes and it’s starting to look quite empty here. On Sunday you will find us for the last time at from 11 until 3 at Civic Square in Launceston.

Sorry Deloraine…… We won’t be at the market on Saturday… Covid has hit hard and, although negative now, a walk around the block was utterly exhausting. We won’t be able to set up the tent, let alone bake oliebollen.

After successfully dodging many Covid bullets, it has now finally caught up with us. We are very sorry to let you know that we have to cancel this weekend’s trade at the Don Market. We hope to be back on our feet for next week in Deloraine, fingers crossed!

You better sit down for this……. unlike our normal happy posts, this is not good news. Due to health issues we are closing our beloved little business by the end of July. We are very sad about it, but we can no longer keep it going. We will miss trading, meeting people and baking all our and your favourite treats. Most of all we will miss you, our awesome customers!

We were convinced that the Beauty Point Easter Market was on Sunday, so we were taking it nice and easy. Luckily one of our customers let us know that it is on TODAY!!! After a frantic evening prepping apple beignets and baking pie, we made it! So thank you Sue, without you we would still be at home!

We have moved to Australia in 2010, and we did not realise how incredibly Dutch we were until we ordered a cup of coffee in Darwin, and we did not get a bicky on the side. Because in the Netherlands, every cuppa comes with a small treat.
Many years and adventures later, we are excited to announce that we are starting our own little Dutch bakery! We love our Dutch treats, and we are sure that you will love them too.
