Amethyst is expensive, but this photo right here is a pretty good example of buying cheap to save a dollar, rather then investing your money in a quality product.

I found a GREAT crystal supplier. I LOVE them.

They were a bit more expensive then what I usually pay per kilo but...

✨ I could go to their warehouse & choose exactly what I wanted
✨ They supplied the exact size chunks I wanted
✨ The colour in all their crystals are amazing
✨ I could give my customers a 100% better quality product

I was happy to pay a bit extra, after all... if I wouldn’t buy it, why would I expect my customers to buy it?

With all the above I had to raise my prices.

Enter Backlash

I had 1 customer who wanted an Amethyst Branch but didn’t want to pay the price for it, so she asked me if I could find a cheaper way to supply the exact same thing. She wanted cheaper crystals.

I found cheaper crystals from an interstate shop.
There photos seemed good & they were cheap so I thought... why not
But i received...
Cheaper crystals that had no colour
Crystals that were covered in dirt that I couldn’t remove
Crystals that were cut, but not buffed out
Crystals that were so small compared to what I usually use.
Clearly their website was photo shopped to make these crystals look good 😐

Once I showed the customer the difference & told her that I couldn’t use these crystals, she bought the original branch that she didn’t want to pay money for.

People don’t understand that when prices get raised it’s usually for a good reason. In my case it’s quality.

Don’t be afraid to charge what you are worth
Don’t be afraid to charge what your product is worth

You will attract the right buyers for your brand if the right quality is supplied

If you buy cheap to save a dollar and the quality isn’t there, you will not get anywhere

My view on these branch Christmas trees is simple. I have 2 living areas and as much as I would love to dress up my back room with Christmas decos at Christmas time, I really can’t be bothered with another Christmas tree, but I could totally do a branch Christmas tree, so so simple 💜
