Essendon Football Club's AFLW team will be running a FREE skills clinic for kids (ages 5-17) this Saturday 7th October, from 4:30pm at Reid Oval, Warrnambool.

Unfortunately our Under 18 boys couldn’t get it done today against a very talented
side in Kolora Noorat.
It was a very enjoyable year being involved with great young blokes who improved out of sight as the season went
on. To win 2 finals games was enormous
and hopefully it spurs the boys to bigger
and better things in the future.!!!

Below is the correspondence from AFL western Victoria, the Dennington Football & Netball Club has a supporter and player policy in place which doesn't condone umpire abuse. We as a club need to remember that most of the umpires are volunteers.
So please be polite and respectful to the umpires without them there is no game.

Correspondence:

Unfortunately, I am contacting you as I am concerned and disappointed with the increase of Umpire Abuse cases that are being reported. There is no justification for this behavior, nor will it be accepted.

Can you please reinforce with your supporters and players that this behavior will not be accepted and any reported cases will be sent to the Tribunal for determination. Recently, the Tribunal has taken a hard stance on Umpire Abuse cases and has suspended players and fined clubs who are involved.

As for crowd behavior, your club is responsible for your supporter’s behavior. Your club will be held responsible for abuse from the supporters of your club, as such it is important that you make your supporters aware of this important information.

As you would be aware the recruitment and retention of Umpires across the country is a major concern for the game. This current behavior is negatively impacting on retaining the current Umpires and makes it near impossible to recruit new umpires.

Even though there was no scoring the girls assured me that they won 4, drew 1, and only lost 1. Well done to all the puppies invovled and a special thanks to Melissa Lewis and all who helped out. Good Friday we have the market at Lake pertobe. Were looking at over 50 stall holders and need some help with selling raffle tickets , coin collection for children's hospital and bbq. 5 Days to till new draw starts last draw for 22 will be held Wednesday and new draws commence Thursday thanks to everyone who has responded please shear with friends and family and get around this major fundraiser !!!

---- Dennington Community Chest ----

Dennington Football Netball Club are having a weekly Raffle/Draw called the Dennington Community Chest Starting on the 27th of October (last Thursday in October) third year running .

The Purpose of the community chest is to raise funds for infrastructural development at the Dennington Recreational Reserve such as new ammenities for the netball courts a or light for the football field and to pay down the loan for the redevelopment to name a few. it will become used to ensure that Dennington community can use the recreational reserve for a community hub with the best facilities and amenities available.

How the Draws Work
One draw a week will take place for 52 weeks, numbers will be the same through out hopefully 250 participants will be in each draw. Up to $500 worth of prizes are up for grabs each week.

How to Enter
You can enter by either setting up a direct debit of $5 a week for 52 weeks or pay a lump sum of $260 which will cover every draw for the whole year.
Please put your name in as a reference on the bank transaction so we know who has paid.

Picking Your Number.
Once you have Set up your direct debit or lump sum contact Peter Lock and Jack Miller to choose your number numbers are first in best dress so get in quickly. You keep the same number for the whole year. ( People with existing numbers have preference on that number rather than a new comer)
