I decided it was time to revisit some of my older images. With fresh eyes and a cleaner edit.

This was the first from back in 2012. This image set things in motion for an unforgettable ride.

I guess these days, instead of the "You faked that in Photoshop" comments, I'm going to get "that was generated with AI" instead. All I have to say to that is, if you can see it, you can shoot it.

Anyway, it's time I Iooked at increasing the collection. I never quite made it to a hundred of these so I'm going to have to shoot a few more weddings to get there...

On that note... I've just updated my availability on the website for dates up until May next year.

I had some pretty intensive surgery last year to remove a tumor from my neck. It caused some permanent nerve damage and as a result I'll only be taking on a handful of weddings each season.

First in, best dressed and all that jazz!

So... rainbows are considered to be a little magical...
and I can make them appear on a clear day...
I guess that puts me in Gandalf territory?

Saying that, given my skin colour, and my penchant for being a little out there in the way I shoot I suppose I'm more "Peter the Brown".

PS Did I mention I'm back shooting weddings again?

Check it, and spread the word!

It's been a while...

THE MAN BEHIND THE LENS

ORIGINS

Born and raised in Sheffield in the mighty county of Yorkshire in England, I came to Australia originally to play and coach hockey. Australia, as it does for many, captivated me and I ended up staying. I had played internationally, so giving up hockey for wedding photography shows how much I love capturing memories.

NO HOLDING BACK

Those who have seen me in action know that I have a very distinctive method when it comes to shooting. I've ruined a lot of clothes over the years in getting those extra special shots. I climb trees, climb on my car roof (the big one), climb on wheelie bins, scale rock faces, get wet in the ocean, wade in dams, jump in fish ponds, jump in duck ponds, make puddles... and then lie in them, lie in the dirt, roll in the dirt and generally run around all over the place... pretty much anything to get the shot (I've also been burnt putting out a fire!) This is me... this is what I do. Imagine Bear Grylls with a camera and you have a pretty good idea what to expect.
