The Rangers Cottage Manly
The Rangers Cottage Manly a quiet holiday cottage tucked away in Balgowlah on the Manly to Spit Walk
The Rangers Cottage is truly a family business. It is school holidays here and my son was quick to jump in and help me out by water blasting our paths and getting them ready for summer and our next guests. I think many people think we flip sheets and clean bathrooms but there is so much more to running a good and providing a great experience for guests. It is so important to keep on top all the maintenance and keep your place in tip top condition! .
David finished off the year with a rather disappointing haul of rubbish from our local beaches.. how much more will we collect this year ???
We set up the Rangers cottage with the idea that if we’re going on holiday what would we like to find in a holiday home and how would we like to be treated. Read what our guests have to say!
What a lovely review from recent guests - “we truly felt like guests, not customers of airbnb.” Music to our ears.
Oh we love it when guests leave us a hand written note and love all the little touches we add to the cottage ! It makes it all so worth while !
Beautiful morning walks around the headland before back home for work. I do have to pinch my self some times and think is this really in the middle of Sydney and on my doorstep.
We love welcoming guests to the cottage and it is always nice to see guests return. It makes us so happy when we know one of the reasons guests return is because of the sustainable practices we have in place. They love using our compost bin! The best compliment we could get on earth day!
Sustainable hosting starts with hosts that set up their homes to create the least amount of emissions. It’s always nice when guests enjoy making use of the ammenities you provide. So nice to welcoming back return guests.
Are you a morning person do you like a sunrise. This was a beauty this morning - 20 mins walk from the cottage! Added bonus swimming with dolphins while looking out the heads of Sydney Harbour.
Oh that moment when your guests arrive driving a hybrid and you think oooh like minded guests … so much in common .. .birds
We had a few early morning visitors on Sunday. We seem to be just the spot for a bit of breakfast and a good catch up! I wish I had taken a video so you could have heard the noise.. what an alarm clock !!
Starting off the year planning our Sydney community events for the year. So lucky to be able to meet in the Sydney airbnb office. Lots of great ideas for the year ahead !
It is always lovely to hear guests have a great time when staying and even when things go slightly wrong it nice to be told gently so we can then get them fixed asap! Shower is now fixed and we have a beautiful new calendar for the cottage for next year !! Such a lovely gift that many can enjoy!
This wee fellow was hanging out on the beach this morning playing amongst the branches and rubbish. Gentle reminder to take your rubbish with you when you leave the beach and if you see other rubbish left behind take it with you - please for all our sakes - no one wants to cut there feet on a broken bottle or see this little guy sucking on a washed up dummy! Yes found one this morning along with an unlit birthday candle !!
Beautiful looking creature down at the beach this morning. Another summer beach clean up . Gentle reminder to take all your rubbish with you when you leave the beach. And if you see rubbish left of the beach and can pick it up we will all be grateful.
Picture perfect spring day in Sydney. Beautiful time of the year to be visiting ..
The Rangers cottage is set up to be a home away from home and we hope guests feel welcome and at home when they stay and go on to make happy memories. It was so lovely to receive this Thoughtful card and gift from a recent guest. It is so nice to know all the little things are appreciated!
It’s has been a very exciting and busy start to spring here in Sydney. As a Sydney airbnb host club leader I was invited to attend a special meet up with the airbnb Global Head of Hosting - Catherine Powell. We had a great discussion as a team of host leaders from around Australia and New Zealand gathered to share feedback. Followed by a delicious lunch at Catalina’s with more productive discussion.
