International Dairy Week (IDW) is the largest annual dairy conference and sale in the Southern Hemisphere and is nationally and internationally recognised as being amongst the top five cattle shows in the world. It is indisputably the most prestigious event in the Australian dairy industry, showcasing the best quality dairy cattle to over 4,500 visitors from every state in Australia and over 20 countries internationally. The iconic event showcases the best from Australia’s dairy breeds including Holstein, Jersey, Illawarra, Brown Swiss, Ayrshire and Guernsey.

We will provide opportunities to showcase the latest developments in dairy farming practice, breeding, genetics, machinery, equipment, technology and services, environmental issues, seminars, livestock marketing, property tours and promotion of dairy food products. An important base from which to network, IDW aims to be the place to be for all operating within the dairy industry. From producers to consumers - All are welcome to attend IDW!

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Emmelie Nijskens as new Events Coordinator for International Dairy Week moving forward.

Emmelie was born and raised on a dairy farm in The Netherlands, before immigrating to South West Victoria where her parents operate a dairy farm today.

With a proven track record in events management, and a passion for the agricultural industry, Emmelie brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the role. Also managing Sheepvention Rural Expo in Hamilton VIC, and recently launching her own events business, Rural Reach Events her expertise in organising large-scale events and her passion for the dairy community makes her the ideal candidate to assist in bringing IDW into its next phase of growth.

The Tatura Food Truck Festival kicked off International Dairy Week, and it really set the tone for an epic week 🌮🍣
With over 2000 attendees, there were food trucks, market stalls, live music, face painting, jumping castles, live demonstrations, and so much more!
This was such a fun way to begin a flat-out week with IDW, and we're so grateful to have been part of the team for 2024 🙌

The Adelaide Festival will always hold a special place in my heart 🥰
Running in March each year, this incredible event runs over two weeks and has the whole city in a buzz.
In my previous role as Festival Functions Coordinator, I was able to take the lead in coordinating and delivering both internal and external events during the Festival and post. There was so much to do with this event, with many balls in the air, but the end result was always something to be proud of.

We had so much fun at International Dairy Week in January, helping out the team in the lead up with admin and then on the ground during the 6-day event 🐄
This event was HUGE. Thanks to the organising crew for having us on the team, we learned so much from you and the event, which provided a great opportunity for us to meet dairy industry representatives from across Australia & the world! 🌏

Growing up within the agricultural world both in The Netherlands and later in south-west Victoria, one thing remained constant; my passion for the lifestyle this world provides. This passion was the seed that grew into Rural Reach Events with an aim to bridge the gap between urban and rural communities.
