Needing floors to be completed before XMAS ??

The end of 2024 is moving fast and our books are filling quick.

Our team will be away from 14th - 25th Oct on holidays. We will be checking emails and FB messenger for important messages but all calls and texts thru our phones will not be attended to due to being overseas.

Luke and myself will be in Melbourne on 11/12th Nov for a training course ( our big secret ).

Our last day on the tools for 2024 will be 19th Dec. Luke will be having surgery on the 20th meaning there will be a couple weeks recovery for his hand and elbow before he can be back on tools. I will get a return date soon for Jan 2025.

We encourage anyone who is waiting on kitchen work , builders etc with timelines or completions to reach out asap to secure your booking as we will do our best to accomodate.

Laminate all the way baby 🙌✨🔥

Tile removal was a little tricky on this one but we still smashed it out, did the grind, flood filled to the get the subfloor level perfect for our installation of 100m laminate in Valley Oak colour with gold class underlay and new squared edged skirting in 3.5 days 💪💪

A Flooring Transformation 💎 From Frustration to Fabulous

When moving into a brand new home, one expects the quality of products and workmanship to be top-notch and compliant with industry standards. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for our customers, Allan and Judy. From the moment they moved in, they could see and feel the imperfections in their vinyl planks, which were installed by a third-party carpet shop.

Upon addressing these issues, they were told that the floor was within tolerance and that no floor prep was needed. However, the before photos clearly show rippling and wave-like imperfections. Some joins were only 80mm apart, and once we removed the floor and checked the levels, we found up to 15mm humps in multiple spots across the area. Despite these obvious flaws, our customers were dismissed as being overly picky and were not offered any compensation or rectification.

Determined to have a beautiful and smooth floor, Allan and Judy called us at Impressive Floors. We removed all the glue, concrete ground the high humps, and poured a 5mm flood fill to bring the subfloor into tolerance. We then installed our Royal White Oak color hybrid flooring from our Storm range.

The result is incredible both in look and feel. The pictures speak for themselves, and messages like the ones we received from Allan and Judy motivate us to maintain our high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Taking care of floating floors is a question we are always asked. Here’s a few tips to keep your floor in the best condition -

Always read and follow your flooring type’s manufacturers instructions.

Never use steam mops or boiling hot water on floating floors as this can pe*****te through the surface layer.

Clean up spills asap even though some flooring says it’s waterproof. Moisture will create mould and could affect your subfloor.

Use felt furniture pads on your furniture to prevent damage to your flooring.

Use a recommended floating floor cleaner that is safe for your type of flooring. We recommend LOBA floor cleaner and now supply our customers with their first bottle to ensure they are looking after their new floor.
