Thanks to our wonderful Pilates participants we managed to raise $834 for in Sept! We received such amazing feedback from people over the past few months, saying that our free online Pilates series during lockdown help ease the mental load for some of you. This made us incredibly happy, to be able to help people with not only their physical health but mental health as well over what was a few hard months. We look forward to welcoming you all back to our studios soon!

We have been seeing a lot of pregnant people coming through our doors recently suffering from the same aches and pains. Here are a few simple ways to relieve some of that back pain you can experience in pregnancy.
1. Tail wag -pretend you are a puppy dog trying to see your tail! Ideally you want the hips and shoulders to move in opposite directions to enjoy the stretch down the side of the body & back.
2. Cat cow - Gradually increase the range of motion as you work through each repetition. Try to get movement through every section of your spine.
3. Book openers - Place a pillow/ towel underneath your head and between the knees to ensure your neck and pelvis are aligned. Hold the stretch open and actively breathe into your ribcage if you are feeling really stiff at the end point of this movement.
This a 19yo who missed a step on the ladder and ended up falling. She sustained a complete tear of her left ACL OUCH! and underwent surgery September 2020.
This is a brief review of her 6 months rehabilitation journey at Movement 101.
ACL rehabilitation can take up to 9-12 months for recovery and return to sport. It is strongly recommended that rehabilitation should start as soon as possible for the best outcomes post op.
