Arlewood has long been a part of the Margaret River Wine region. First established in 1984 in Wilyabrup, a move south to the cooler climate of Forest Grove in 2009 created a renewed focus on single vineyard estate grown wines. These are handcrafted by a dedicated team that are fanatical about wine and love to experiment with style. Our wines can be purchased from our online store www.arlewood.com.au

Vintage is over for us, but we have some exciting small batches of reds keeping us busy in the shed.

Wowzas I've just opened our 2004 Cabenet Sauvignon (20yo) to taste in the cellar door today.
100% Cabernet, planted in 1988 at the old Arlewood vineyard in Wilyabrup (now Vasse Felix).
2 years in 50% new, 50% seasoned barriques.
Made by Mark Messanger and Ian Bell.
It was predicted to age for 20 years and here it is!
Time to raid our cellar. On tasting today: 20 yo Cabernet Sauvignon. Just opened the bottle.... wow.
Tarnia and I handpicked half a tonne of Cabernet Sauvignon yesterday. All signs point to a serious, well structured Cabernet: concentrated fruit flavours, clean fruit and ripe tannins.
This vintage is remarkable- widespread persistent heat, no birds, accelerated ripening, no disease. One to watch and wonder- what will v25 be like?
Dynamic due & served up incredible dishes at last night's Smoke and Fire dinner / Vanessa from and Garry showed off Arlewood's wines to match dishes like... wood fired Freo octopus, pickled watermelon rind nam jim, betel leaf. Pictures by
Nebbiolo! Hand picked, crushed and destemmed yesterday at Arlewood. I've added 'plunging' to my morning routine. A special barrel in the making.

Nebb: a long way off, but good things to come. Healthy bunches and lots of them this year.
Netting the vyard for v24. Family style.
Gosatti family snap just before we sat down to watch the raptor flight display. Nice to take a day off and explore our town and visit one of the places I always recommend on our Southern Backroads Trail. Happy New Year!
Enter our world: gingerbread biscuits crumbled in milk chocolate topped with tangy dried apricots paired with our 2018 La Bratta Nebbiolo blend. Hello Christmas 🎄
Last night's tasting took us to Piemonte with Charlotte
Great comparing various Nebbiolo's from different communes. Many were well integrated (even though it took a little while for our palates to adjust) with a high acidity and tannins through the roof; the combination just worked seamlessly. Flavours varied from mushrooms to home bottled plums. Also, price points, at the top end $220 a bottle Luigi Einaudi and the lower $65 Langhe Giovanni Rosso.
One thing is for sure, Nebbiolo is fierce.
Beautiful photos taken by for Thomas and Ivan's wedding at Arlewood last Saturday. ❤️
Congratulations to Thomas and Ivan who were wedded at Arlewood yesterday, followed by drinks and nibbles under the marri tree, such a beautiful evening ❤️ 🌈
Nice write up by / We are obsessed with chocolate and wine pairings! It just so happens that I picked up some new chocs this morning from Temper Temper to pair with our Rose. It's outstanding. See you soon?
A lovely write up by / we are obsessed with wine and chocolate pairings. So much so, have you ever tried a Rose paired with a chocolate? Well now you can, only at Arlewood!
