State of Origin 2024 🏉
Last night, we hosted our annual State of Origin event for the first time ever at the Newcastle Centre of Excellence, to watch the Blues battle it out with the Maroons!
We are thrilled to announce that we raised over $15,500 for Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service - Official Site. This essential service supports 1.5 million people across Northern NSW with emergency aeromedical services.
It was an exhilarating game to watch with everyone on the edge of their seats. We couldn’t be happier with the 38-18 victory for NSW, go the blues!
Thank you to Mat Croker, Adam Elliott, and Peter Parr from the Newcastle Knights who made a guest appearance, and a huge thank you to all that attended and generously contributed to such a fantastic cause.

PD impacts movement, balance, mental health, and more. With cases expected to double in 16 years, Australia must prioritise PD research.
One of our long term clients at PKF Sydney, and a great friend of the firm, has been affected by PD since he was 50 years old and is actively involved in the search for a cure through Shake It Up Australia.
In partnership with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Shake It Up Australia is fast-tracking innovative research from Australia’s best and brightest scientists to slow, stop and cure PD. These research projects will change the future for people living with PD, as well as those yet to be diagnosed.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Hugh McKensey on 1 June 2024.
Hugh leaves behind a legacy that extends beyond his professional achievements. Hugh was a highly successful Financial and Business Adviser, Accountant and business owner who made significant contributions to all his clients, along with the many team members he worked with and mentored over the years.
Hugh’s professional career spanned over 60 years and encompassed being a long-term Managing Partner at Forsythes, Partner of RML Accountants (later merging with PKF), Chairman of PKF Wealth, Director and Board member of Newcastle Grammar School, and a Chairman of multiple boards.
His commitment and unwavering dedication has left an indelible mark on our firm.
For those who wish to pay their respects and celebrate Hugh's life, a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12th at Lake Macquarie Memorial Park, 405 Cessnock Road, Ryhope, commencing at 11am.
May he Rest in Peace.
