As of today, celebrants can witness you signing your Notice of Intended Marriage via video chat. 💻 So you don’t have to meet in person to get this part of the legal requirements organised.

You then scan the NOIM to them, and the date they receive it (not the date they witness it) starts your one calendar month notice.

Yayy!

(This is so bloody helpful - for rural celebrants especially).

First weekend I haven’t had a wedding for yonks.

So far - walked the dogs, done the housework, washed clothes, answered some emails ….

Paul’s dad gave a blessing and read from the Bible at the close of their recent marriage ceremony.

95% of weddings I do don’t mention religion … BUT if that is important to you, we will absolutely make it happen.

Bob Edwards headed off on his last journey today.

He was a bushie who loved wild birds and animals, music, the St Kilda footy club, Land Cruisers, fishing … and (wait for it) …. WHIPPETS! (His old girl, Twiggy, came along today to farewell him).

He also had one of the most unusual hobbies I’ve ever heard of … he collected chamber pots!

A friend, Jodie, made up a beautiful floral arrangement of native plants and cockatoos - Bob would have loved it.

Paul and Millie first met at school, and married last week, on a glorious Sunday in the Mallee.

A large group of family and friends farewelled Mr Sam Lanza this afternoon in Mildura.

He was famous for his (very) extensive collection of hats, and was rarely seen without one.

So a box of them was brought along, and family each placed one with him to send him on his way at the close of the service.

And the final song played was his mobile phone ring tone, Eagle Rock.

Kym’s family brought along flowers from their own garden to this morning’s funeral at Coomealla.

Her mum, Marilyn, also brought the Star Wars quilt she has been making for Kym. She is going to finish it and place it on Kym’s bed ….

We farewelled Kym to the Imperial March from Star Wars … of course. 🎶 ⭐️
