Has been a hot Minute since we've shown something new. This one is a little different.
Autronic SM4 (serial) to both ford DOL (for the EF EL and AU Falcon), and also to Haltech V2 for a Dash
The Original Spec was to be able to run EF/EL/AU Falcon Dash DOL support (and AC/Climate Control) from the Autronic ECU however we've extended that a little bit to include the Haltech V2 Output
This module uses our newer STM32 Platform and Features 20hz updates for all Data, this produces a very usable option for aftermarket displays with the Autronic ECU.
As a side not - I know the Socials updates arent super frequent - We'll try and do better than that moving forward however Product and Service are our Focus here, and sometimes that means that our Socials fall a little behind.

I know it’s been quiet, but we’re still here! Have been quite busy working on new product.
This is one of them.
J1939 to Haltech V2 CAN to CAN translator.

This module opens up a few doors for instrumentation if your using a commercial engine (or even a few of the Heavy Duty ones) in something fun. Developed for use with the Haltech IC7, this module will work most displays that accepts Haltech V2 data. If your using an IC7, this also currently has hardwire provision for 8 additional Digital Dash Lamps using our template.

** special note : the Haltech IQ3 isn’t supported due to a software lock.
** second special note: the 8 additional dash lamps work with the current IC7 and Configurator. There are changes coming with Haltech moving the IC7 into the Nexus suite and we will do our best to retain this functionality in the update. The core CAN to CAN translation will continue to work seamlessly however.

We dont usually advertise this, but we have now sucessfully modified a number of Toyota Cruise Switches to Suit the Barra to make Cruise control installation a little easier.

Testing has started for VR/AC speed sender support. As you are aware up until now CANBarra has had VSS input support for the FG PCM, restricted to Hall and Digital sensors.
This is about to change with this particular Variant having VR sender support. This is the first of hopefully many to come subject to testing and end user feedback.
Perhaps most useful for guys with gq patrols, and possibly a number of other Nissan conversions

We dont see too many of these. For Patrol S3 guys who want cruise, this is one option I’ve worked on for cruise control switches.
The unit is bolt in compatible with the 3 button cruise switches but has all required switches in the one unit. It’s from a US market Maxima
I brought a few into the country last year and convert them to work with the Barra pcm exactly the same way as fa tofu ford switches.
This is the third last one I have and it’s heading to WA.

Hey Guys
CANBarra has so many fantastic customers. I have talked to and met so many people, and really enjoy that part of running a small business.

Sometimes however, we get customers who arent so great.
Meet Alex. Or at least, This is Alex, disguised a little better than a dentist.

Alex is an aspiring 3rd year apprentice, with a youtube channel and who hopes to spend a lot of time working with Barra's in the Future. Alex also likes driving fast falcons. Hey, dont we all!.

Alex arranged to purchase two CAN translators in the second half of last year. These two units are fairly special - they are Barra to Haltech V2 translators. They have taken quite some time to develop and get right. Alex's arrangement was that he would pay once they were tested (plugged in, working). The first one worked so well that Alex arranged a second one.

However, heres where things went a little awry. Alex decided not to Pay. I havent given up on him, but at the moment, hes not responsive. Perhaps hes in hospital or something.

The long and the short of this though, is please, dont be like Alex.

Please note we are currently out of stock of CANBarra V2 modules. This is due to the current chip shortages which are also causing may vehicle assembly lines to be shut down for periods of time.
We have arranged alternate supply, and will have stock in appx. 2 weeks ready to ship.

This does not affect the V3.1 Basic Module which currently has plenty of stock.
