The Barrier - WATCH IT, LISTEN TO IT, LEARN IT, CHANGE IT Australia is going through one hell of a time at the moment. Mia Findlay (@whatmiadidnext ) shared this poem and the power it has is incredible. We need to acknowledge what our young women are facing, change the narrative and empower our young people to stand up against violence. But it starts at home. It’s the foundation of our emotional wellbeing and understanding. We need to teach young men how to treat women, how women should treat themselves and acknowledge the vital role that both parents play in their children’s lives. Fathers need to step up! Be a role model in this children’s lives. For their sons. For their daughters. Mothers need to acknowledge that it’s a shared role and that being present at home is so important. For their sons and for their daughters. We can’t do this alone! We need to stand together and fight for each other.
