We have managed to get a temporary fix for our internet and phones tonight 😊
NBN Co has informed us that a section of the cable in Mt Eliza Way needs to be replaced.
Hopefully, things will run smoothly tomorrow.
The NBN to Ti-Tree has failed and is not expected to be fixed until late Monday 27/2.
We are unable to take phone calls and will be unable to divert the incoming phone line until later today.
The clinic is open and staffed.
Like most businesses, we use computers every day. We also need to replace them at regular intervals to ensure our system works efficiently.
For many years we have struggled with what to do with the computers once they are replaced. When they are reset to factory settings, they work fine but it is not viable for us to do this for our business and we certainly don’t want ’bin’ them.
Good Faith Learning aims to run an online school, accessible to students around the world at low cost ($1.00 AUD per lesson).
We decided to start donating our old laptops and desktop computers to assist students overseas. Our computers were sent to the Philippines and we are very happy to be helping the students there rather than have to computers go to waste.

COVID-19 alert
Melbourne Pathology have advised us that the collection centre at the rear of Ti-Tree Family Doctors was a Tier 1 COVID exposure site on Thursday 23rd September. Patients that attended Melbourne Pathology have been advised to be tested and isolate for 14 days.
Fortunately Ti-Tree Family Doctors has not been deemed to be an exposure site and we are open as usual. We have however taken the precaution of performing a Deep Clean of the clinic over the weekend.
This exposure site has not yet been listed on the DHHS webpage but we felt it to be in the best interests of our patients to pass this information on.
We have become aware that patients are receiving a message that the Ti-Tree phone number has been disconnected when they try to call the clinic. Our phone provider is working to rectify the problem.
I am pleased to announce that the usual phone number 9787 8033 is working again.
Dr Joanne Newton is retiring from General Practice and will be leaving Ti-Tree Family Doctors in the 11th August 2021.
We wish her all the best for the future as she embarks on the next stage of her life.

David’s COVID-19 vaccination dairy
Day 4 (and final) report.
I want to start by saying this is my personal experience and may not represent how others will feel after their vaccination.
In summary, the vaccination itself is pretty painless and after about 36 hours I felt no after effects. I did however experience some headache, aches and pains and chills which responded well to paracetamol. The worst of the symptoms only lasted about 12 hours.
Whilst unpleasant, I believe it was a minor inconvenience and will have no hesitation in having my second dose in 12 weeks time.
Anecdotal reports from others suggest that many people will have nothing worse than some local discomfort at the injection site so I suspect that my experience was at the more severe end of the spectrum.
Ti-Tree Family Doctors encourages anyone eligible to be be vaccinated when the opportunity arises.
David’s COVID-19 vaccination diary
Day 2 after vaccination
Feeling fine. No persisting post vaccine adverse effects ✅
Happy to have had the first dose and be developing immunity to SARS-CoV-2
David’s COVID-19 vaccination diary - this represents my experience and is not necessarily how others will feel following immunization.
1 day after vaccination
I had a disturbed sleep last night with ‘flu-like’ symptoms that lasted several hours. The symptoms improved after I took a few Panadol. There is a little residual headache and I feel a bit tired, but overall do not feel unwell.
David’s COVID-19 diary
Vaccination day - 8 hours post vaccination
No arm pain ✅
No aches ✅
No tiredness ✅
No fever ✅
Wouldn’t know I’d had a vaccine. 😊
Next update at 24 hours.
I have decided to start a COVID-19 vaccination ‘diary’.
This video shows my first dose of the vaccine, which I received today. I will report how I feel and any reactions or side effects I experience over the next 5-7 days.
I’m aware that some people have concerns about the vaccine and are hesitant to have it for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately there is a lot of mis-information out there.
Hopefully people will find my experience reassuring and prompt them to be immunized.
Dr David Kosenko
Bookings for the COVID-19 vaccine are now available on HotDoc for eligible individuals.
Whilst our weekly allocation is very limited at this stage and it may take some time until you can get a booking, we are determined to offer vaccination to everyone who wants one as quickly as possible.
We have finally received our first week allocation of COVID-19 vaccines!
We have 80 doses. More are expected to arrive for next week.
That’s not many, but it’s a start. We expect the number of vaccines allocated to slowly increase over the next few months.
Bookings will be opening soon on HotDoc. This is the best way to make an appointment for your immunization.
Let’s get this show on the road!
Despite all the media hype, Ti-Tree has NOT RECEIVED ITS ALLOCATION OF COVID-19 VACCINES.
We had been told that we would receive them on Thursday last week but the latest information is that they will arrive ‘sometime this week’.
We will post on this page once we receive the vaccines. Please note that we will not take bookings for COVID-19 immunization until we actually receive the vaccine.
You may have heard on the news today that bookings are open for COVID-19 vaccination for eligible individuals. This is not quite right.
Ti-Tree is expecting to receive its first batch of vaccines on Thursday 18th March. Bookings will open once we have the vaccine in stock and will be able to be made online through the HotDoc App.
Patients who are unable to book online will be able to make an appointment by calling the clinic.
We are receiving a very small weekly allocation initially and it will take some time to be able to accommodate everyone who is eligible. Please be patient.
