Introducing our Saoir House Decoration project
After downsizing to this inner-city, architect-designed home, the owners decided to start afresh with their furniture and furnishings to create a more contemporary vibe that suited their new home and lifestyle as empty nesters. Moving from their family home where they raised four children, they desired a space reflecting their new phase of life.
To honour the contemporary architecture and rich history of this home, we combined modern furnishings with contemporary classics and incorporated the clients’ art collection.

The most rewarding part of being a designer is helping clients fall in love with where they live 💚

We spend a lot of time in the kitchen so why not make it a beautiful inspiring space to cook and entertain.
Sometimes simple updates can transform your kitchen. By introducing these skilfully woven wicker counter stools in a dusty green and custom white linen sheers , we’ve made this room more comfortable and welcoming.

White walls are safe but boring! 😅. Check out this 'before and after' and maybe you will agree.
We transformed this room by introducing colour to the walls, grounding the furniture with a rug and dressing the bed with beautiful bedlinen and a gorgeous custom cushion. We also added a Danish stool at the end of the bed, artwork and that beautiful green mirror.

Jumbled Garden 11 is an original artwork by the talented Rachel Castle and it’s going to look absolutely fabulous in my Clients Paddington home .
One of our favourite things to do is sourcing artwork for clients and working with them to find artworks that resonate with them and bring them joy for years to come x

Throughout this project we sought to introduce more colour and warmth in the all white interior. This handpainted blue cabinetry with pretty rattan handles adds personality to the kids TV area.

Elevated high on a hill at Indooroopilly, Brisbane, this home has sweeping views. The colours we selected for the interiors and the outdoor areas are inspired by the changing colours of the sky and the green environment, creating a warm colourful and fun home.

As a mum of four kids, I remember the amount of stuff kids have for school including school backpacks, school shoes, school hats, sports shoes , tennis rackets hockey sticks, footballs , cricket bags, violins, trumpets
The challenge is where to put all this stuff and how to organise it all so that they can find it before school each morning. The morning rush before school is probably one of the most stressful times of the day.
Hence I love the challenge of designing mud rooms for families to help make not only their houses tidier and more organised but to make their mornings calmer!
We designed this mud room for my Paddington client incorporating a locker for each child and also room for shoes, hooks for hats and bags and a spot to sit and put your shoes on in the morning. Also a great place to store those gumboots for this rainy weather.

When designing this bedroom for our cute client Lily, we took into account her love of collecting things, building things, art and drawing.
Starting with her pretty pink bed, we curated a fun, creative, and functional room that grows with her. The flexible system is perfect for young children and can be adapted as they get older and become teenagers.
Thank you to local artist Holly for the beautiful hand painted prints - they're perfect for kids' spaces and Lily especially loves the Strawberry. 🍓 🏠 🌼

As they say ‘people buy from people that they know, like and trust’ so let me tell you a bit about me and my team.
As well as running my interior business, Berkeley Interiors, I am also a partner with my husband Paul in of our furniture company which we launched last year. My interior design studio is also our furniture showroom. I also work as a stylist for photo shoots for designers and small businesses.
I am the Mum of four adult children aged 22 to 30 - 3 girls and a boy (lucky me). Claudia my eldest is an interior designer and works with me on a contract basis in design and documentation. My son Charlie who is completing his Masters in Architecture does our site measures and modelling of new projects. As well as running our furniture company, Paul makes our bedheads and custom furnishings. Talk about keeping it in the family.
Berkeley is my family name and Reinhardt is my married name. I sometimes questioned changing my name when I was young so decided to use my Berkeley name again for my business.
I believe I can help change peoples lives and happiness by transforming the interiors of their homes. I especially love helping families with children but I’ve also had lovely clients from as young as 25 to retired clients in their 70s and 80s and have equally enjoyed helping them transform their homes for different stages of life.
I had this portrait taken a few weeks ago by talented photographer and my hair was styled by the lovely team in Orange. The Huddle was one of the most supportive environments I have ever experienced as a woman not only in business but in life.
Reach out if you would like me to help you transform your home or to have a conversation about how to work with me. I'd love to help you transform your home.
Happy Easter Holidays. Are you holidaying at home or away this Easter? Comment below if you like to holiday at home or prefer to go away?
One of my goals as a designer is to help you create a home where you are happy to enjoy a lovely break from the 9 to 5 in the comfort of your own surroundings. Or alternatively, when you come back from holidays you open the door and think - that was fun but I’m so happy to be home.
After a busy first quarter of the year, we’re happily spending our Easter holiday in the comfort of our home in our favourite spots - our Astrid sofa, Freya sofa and Astrid armchair

Are you going away for Easter or spending the break at home?
Why not create that holiday vibe at home instead of facing Easter traffic, packing your bags and wrangling children 😛 .
We helped our client transform this poolside area at their Paddington home from a space nobody really used (see before photos) to one that looks like it is straight out of a French resort.
Before -
My client found the grassed area next to her pool and built in timber bench seat was too hard to maintain. She wanted to revitalise this area to a space to enjoy and relax while watching the kids in the pool and to entertain friends and family.
After -
We selected these patterned outdoor tiles to replace the grass, the builder took out the bench seat and we introduced comfortable outdoor French furniture . The wall was painted a pretty blue to reflect the colours in the tiles and the pool 💦 .
The view of Paddington cottages is picture perfect . Who wouldn’t want to spend Easter relaxing in this space

Introducing our Paddington Queenslander project. We were engaged by our clients to help furnish and decorate their home after they returned from living in Singapore and moved back into their home which had been renovated before they left. They wanted to add colour, warmth and personality to the all white interior.
For the entry we were inspired by the colours used in this contemporary artwork and the scalloped runner is a showstopper. 💜 💚 ♥️

We love using ottomans in our interior design projects. Not only are they functional, but they can also be a great way to add colour and personality to your space.
Our favourite thing about ottomans is their versatility. They can be used as an extra seat, a coffee table, or a footrest.
Here are some of our gorgeous ottomans we’ve designed for client projects featuring beautiful textiles . Love to hear your feedback on which one you 🧡.
Are you contemplating using an interior designer to help you with your decoration or renovation project but don’t know where to start?
If you like what you see here at Berkeley Interiors and would like my help, the first step is to book an initial consultation. I will come to your home and chat to you about your project, your needs, your budget, your ideas and your aesthetic. I then create a scope of work and a fee estimate for your approval.
I also offer a free 15 minute phone consultation prior to booking the paid home consultation if you would like to ask some questions and want some more information.
