CHAI vs. COFFEE Generally, one cup chai contains 40mg caffeine compared to 120mg of caffeine in one cup coffee. But, the caffeine in teas works differently because of its interaction with tannin, component in this beverage. Tannin has a calm effect on nervous system. As a result, caffeine is absorbed very slowly and you can avoid caffeine “shock”. Drinking chai you will get a subtle boost for a working day with increased mental energy and a calming effect 🙏

In India, being offered a cup of chai is about as common as being offered a glass of water or a beer in Western countries. Among the many positive benefits of chai on environment, one is it uses very little amount of water. For producing one cup coffee more than 1100 cups water is required while for producing one cup tea, 1/10 of the water is required. 🙌

The history behind Chai... . We have enjoyed reading the legends behind our favourite beverage. . One story goes that chai was developed by accident when a Buddhist monk on his way to China, observed the local ritual of chewing on a few wild leaves and tried it himself. On feeling rejuvenated, he decided to bring it back to India with him. . Another legend has it that it was a king in ancient India developed chai to remain alert during long court hour. Some historians also believe that Emperor Ashoka too had made it a part of his various peace treaties and court culture, a habit that eventually percolated down to common people.
Chai is consumed every 2 seconds somewhere in Australia! . And can also be served cold for a refreshing beverage during these hot months! . Our Chai Protein includes, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and clove spices. . So why is it so popular? Because of the health benefits, of course! . Chai spices stimulate digestive and pancreatic enzymes to help improve oxygen uptake and fat breakdown. . All the spices contained in chai enhance stomach and digestive activity, encouraging movement through the gastrointestinal system. . The spices leads to a more balanced energy release into cells.
