Reconnecting with culture

gave me the opportunity to join them and play the ''bombo'', a common instrument in Argentina's folk songs. I got to attend their rehearsals and also practice at home and on Zoom with my brother-in-law .aguirre.50 who is a drummer back in Argentina.

This initiated a lot of conversations with friends and family here in Australia, where I got to share the things that make me proud of having grown up in Argentina.

There's been some moving and grooving happening with Team Bluey, so we wanted to update you all.

Firstly, Caro Duca, our current Program Coordinator, will be moving into a brand new role - Community Engagement Producer. They are currently managing the Community Engagement projects for Summer Nights and we can't wait for them to take on this role connecting more artists and community with the organisation.

After recruiting to fill the Program Coordinator role, Amy Howell, our current Communications Coordinator, was offered the position. We are excited for them to bring their dedication to artists, holistic producing style and keen eye for systems improvement to the job.

Caro and Amy will both be continuing in their current roles until their new gigs kick-off from Tuesday 8 March 2022. Congrats to them both!

With that, we're now recruiting for a new Communications Coordinator - someone who is passionate about connecting local artists and their work to audience and community.
