// FUTURE LANDSCAPES COMPETITION //

Visions of Future Landscapes of Change: As Spectacle and as Collapse

Emerging landscape architects are invited to speculate on scenarios of future Australian landscapes. The competition asks you to present and illustrate a unique narrative for an existing Australian street, park or public open space in its current form, as a landscape of spectacle and as a landscape from collapse. Your existing site can be located anywhere in Australia from an urban, suburban or rural setting and represented from the eye level perspective of a pedestrian. There is no budget and you are encouraged to speculate imaginatively.

For more information and to apply, visit the link in our bio or visit www.aila.org.au/SC/Festival

Entries are open to recent graduates (up to 2 years) or tertiary students of disciplines related to the built and natural environment, or design and creative industries studying at an Australian university during 2021.

Join us for a provocative round-table debating Pedagogies of Future Practice in Landscape Architecture.

The discipline of landscape architecture often aims (and claims) to address the coalescing and intensifying conditions faced by global communities and ecosystems. As we advance into an uncertain future, we ask landscape architectural educators around Australia to discuss what landscape architectural education is doing to prepare the practitioners of the future, and what more can it do?

Registrations essential.
