Reef Herons are one of the common seabirds you’ll be able to spot on Green Island and are amazing to watch. They are ambush hunters and able to stand at the water’s edge⁠ for long periods waiting for prey (crabs, fish) to come to them. They use their beaks to stab the prey, then toss the food into the air and swallow it.⁠ Show offs! 🐦️🏝️😎⁠
