WHY IS A COSMETIC DOCTOR NOT A PLASTIC SURGEON?
A cosmetic doctor is not a plastic surgeon because they do not undergo the extensive and rigorous training required to become a plastic surgeon. Plastic surgeons complete 8-12 additional years of specialised medical and surgical education after their initial medical degree, which includes comprehensive training in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. This level of training ensures they meet stringent standards for safety and proficiency. In contrast, a cosmetic doctor may not have this extensive specialised training.
