It's time for a reintroduction for those of you not familiar with me and an update on exciting new beginnings for 🎉

I’m Carolyn, and By Sea n’ Stars was created by me, when at the age of 40, as a mother of 5, and a creative business owner in the event & wedding industry, I became increasingly frustrated that I couldn’t find the products that I wanted for all the exciting leisure activities I love.

For the past four years, I have shared beautiful Australian designed products I have found that other people have crafted. 

However, I am still not satisfied because I have not found products that offer the solutions I have been searching for.

I want to have a bigger impact in caring for our planet.  Now I am ready to go one step further and design my own products.  I am currently sourcing recycled materials derived from plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfills and in our oceans. 

Watch this space for more information on the beautiful, innovative, eco friendly products I am designing to minimise the mess and maximise the fun of a day exploring nature at the beach & anywhere we go under the stars, while helping reduce plastic waste in our environment.

Never release balloons in to the air. Bubbles are a great alternative.

Many balloons that are not properly disposed of end up in the ocean and along shores, becoming marine debris… Balloons can be mistaken for food, and if eaten and ingested, balloons and other marine debris can lead to loss of nutrition, internal injury, starvation, and death.

Petition to ban balloon releases Balloons are one of the most lethal types of plastic for ocean animals, yet in many Australian states it is legal to release them into the air. Sign the petition to ban helium balloon releases.

This is what we like to see! Coles is stepping up to reduce single use plastics – not only do they no longer sell single-use plastic tableware products including cups, plates, bowls, straws and cutlery but today they have announced that they will no longer give away plastic collectible toys.
