So exciting to be able to award the winner of our Port Adelaide Football Club Ultimate Port Fan experience in person last week.

Andrew will be watching Port Adelaide take on the Sydney Swans from the FIVEaa Locker Room reserved seating this Saturday. He's taking along his mum, a long-term supporter and former employee of Port Adelaide FC, for a special experience. 🏈💙
We recently held two soup days with our team to raise funds for Kickstart For Kids to fight period poverty!
A survey conducted by a South Australian commission found that 1 in 4 girls have missed out on attending school due to not having access to feminine hygiene products. KickStart for Kids combats period poverty by distributing over 1200 packets of sanitary items to 200+ local and regional schools every month, however demand is constantly increasing.
Our staff showed their support by donating money to enjoy delicious soup and rolls - a great way to stay warm while supporting our community!

Buying a home can be stressful. Add an auction into the mix and the process can seem quite daunting. But it doesn’t have to be.
With a bit of careful preparation, forethought, and strategy, you can guard against paying too much and maximise your chances of success.
For those of you who are new to the home buying business, here's 8 tips to put you on the way to acing your first auction:
🧑💻 Do your homework: Look at sold listings, walk the neighbourhood and attend open houses close by. This way you can determine a suitable bid.
🔍 Obtain a professional building report: Have an onsite inspection, learn the house’s condition so you can decide to walk away or lower your bid.
💰 Set a budget: Consider additional expenses such as stamp duty, conveyancing costs, and renovations then set a maximum bid and stick to it.
📃 Apply for financing pre-approval and pull your deposit together: It shows you what the lender will let you borrow based on the information you’ve provided them about your income and expenses.
🎯 Understand the auction process: Before the auction, the seller will nominate a reserve price, which isn’t usually made public. If the reserve price is reached and bidding continues, the home will be sold at the end of the auction.
📝 Familiarise yourself with the auction rules: Obtain a copy of the auction terms and conditions beforehand and make sure you are prepared to follow these rules.
👀 Thoroughly examine the sale contract: Prior to the auction, obtain a copy of the sale contract and show it to your solicitor or conveyancer for review. They’ll explain any potential risks that come with buying the property, and ways to protect yourself.
🕵️♀️ Attend other auctions as an observer: Consider attending a few auctions as an observer before you go as a bidder. This may help you understand the dynamics and pacing of the auction process.
🥳 Most importantly try to enjoy yourself!

Credit Union SA is South Australia’s third largest credit union with over $1 billion in assets, and over 50,000 members.
As a member-based mutual organisation, we are owned 100% by our members. We are not driven by the need to generate extreme profits or return dividends to shareholders in the manner of the major banks. We're able to channel the profits we generate back to our Membership and broader community.
This is achieved in the form of innovative new products and services, low fees, great interest rates, high levels of personal service, and community development initiatives and project funding.
