Select-A-Fence has been owned and operated by David Milligan and Julie Hamnett for the past 20 years.In 2010 We converted the famous 370 acre property "Cloud Valley" formally owned by John Laws, Into a world class horse property now called Carinya Lodge www.carinyalodge.com .Later securing a John Holland contract for the Mardi to Mangrove pipeline our business has grown in many ways, from expanding our fleet of machinery to gaining more new valued customers.

Fully custom Heritage style hardwood pool fence . Picket timber was seasoned for 1 years then re sawn to 38x35 , brushed with wire wheel to look aged . All posts hand mortised with a hand chisel and bolster. Pickets all countersunk and screwed on with galvanised 12g decking screws . Custom hardwood gate also built on-site with seasoned Timbers. Challenging job in a award winning bespoke rural garden.

Posts and roof frame done . Good therapy working with beautiful timbers . 90% of this timber was urban salvage from tree loppers . We milled all of this timber. Most of it has seasoned 6 years.

One of the most challenging yet satisfying jobs we have done this year. This has changed the whole feel of the property, blending in with the landscape. It will weather beautifully.

10m x 5m blacksmith and horse shelter completed . Come up pretty good.

Building an old colonial style mortised split post and rail fence , around the horse and blacksmith shed . Time consuming but very satisfying work. No screws or nails holding it together.
