🌍 Last week we celebrated Diversity Day at our Melbourne campus for Diploma of Nursing! 🏥 Embracing varied cultures, backgrounds, and insights in healthcare education. Students came to campus in representative outfits of their home countries and brought a dish of their national cuisine!

We are delighted to share the results of Alumni Survey of our graduates!
A staggering 92% of Acknowledge Education students still work in the industry with 91% of Health and Community Services graduates still in the field!

Recently a group of our Melbourne Diploma of Community Service students visited the Koori Heritage Trust to learn about the history of migration for their Manage and Promote Diversity unit! It’s great to learn outside of the classroom too!

Our Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management students recently attended an excursion to the Yarra Valley wine region recently as part of their speciality tourism unit!

There’s a new campus in the works! We are working hard to open our campus on 222 Bourke Street, Melbourne soon. It will host 21 spacious classrooms, well-equipped student kitchens and comfy lounges and flashy computer rooms. Our VET courses in Melbourne will commence at this campus starting Term 2, 2022.

Meet our trainers - Vol. 3 (Hussein Chahrour, Trainer, B.Eng. (civil), GradCert, MIEAust) - Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction

Hussein is a Senior Structural Engineer by profession, with over 4 years’ experience. He consults within the Sydney area and specialises in post-tension concrete structural design. Hussein has worked on different projects, providing reliable and economical designs in various spaces such as schools, shopping centres, high-rise buildings and hospitals.

Hussein has also worked overseas where he gained international experience in construction, further developing and broadening his management skills.

He consistently seeks to expand his knowledge by updating his skills with new innovations, concepts and practices in the construction industry.

Meet our trainers - Vol. 2 (Masihuddin Mohammed, Trainer, ME, BEng, AIEust) - Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design

Masihuddin Mohammed is a highly experienced civil engineering professional with over 25 years’ experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Supervision, Design Management and Client Representation. His educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Construction Management & a Masters of Eng Sc (Preliminary) in Structures.

He has also obtained certifications in Project Management, Civil Construction Operations, Training and Assessment and is a member of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.

Masihuddin has had a management experience across the entire construction process in many prestigious and complex projects. He has worked on high rise buildings, seaports, large infrastructure development, amphitheaters, state parks, mixed-use developments, educational institutions, recreational development projects and namely, the FIFA stadium 2022.

In 2015, Masihuddin was nominated for Best Project Manager award by MEP Middle East.

Meet our trainers– Vol. 1 (Abbas Haydous, Head Trainer, MSc, BEng, MIEAust ) – Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design

Abbas is a professional civil & environmental engineer, who holds a Master of Science in Road Management & Engineering from the University of Birmingham. Abbas has been working on several projects and conducting research in the civil and environmental industries with a special focus on Transportation and Sustainable Construction in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the ME region. Abbas is our course coordinator and Head Trainer for the Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction Design. He is one of few who started providing nationwide training for the course in Australia, and he has been delivering only success since then. He is also leading all new initiative projects in our construction department.

What Our Students Say - Vol. 3 (Amie Charlotte Vantomme - Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design)

The Civil Construction Design Course at Stott’s College, so far, has been extremely eye-opening in regard to the career opportunities that will be available to me on competition of the course. With the modules including a variety of technical, business and project management content, the range of skills and knowledge we are learning can be applied to so many different job roles, projects and opportunities which is really exciting!

Abbas, our course leader encourages us to not only succeed but to really excel in what we decide to do following the course and has even opened up his personal network to help each of us achieve what we are striving for. During our lectures and sessions, Abbas is always extremely thorough in his explanations and always gives examples of how everything we are learning can be used in real-life scenario’s which is very useful when it comes to us applying the knowledge we have learnt in the real world.

The level of assistance, support and guidance that is available to us is amazing and I can safely say I am truly excited to apply everything I am learning to the new career path I am creating for myself in the building industry.
