7-14 July is NAIDOC Week! Celebrations are held across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
National NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
This year’s theme is 'Blak, Loud and Proud' and celebrates the unyielding spirit of our communities and invites all to stand in solidarity, amplifying the voices that have long been silenced. This theme calls for a reclamation of narratives, an amplification of voices, and an unwavering commitment to justice and equality. It invites all Australians to listen, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue, fostering a society where the wisdom and contributions of Indigenous peoples are fully valued and respected.
Would you like to stand out from the crowd and break through the marketing noise of your competitors? 🏆

🌟🎉 July is Disability Pride Month, and we would love to take this opportunity to celebrate the amazing staff and students who bring diversity and colour to TAFE NSW. 🌈✨
People like Carter, who we are proud to employ as a TAFE NSW customer service representative. Carter was born with low vision, a condition known as Congenital Nystagmus. Carter also lives with ADHD and Autism.
Their vision impairment makes it difficult for them to read small print and focus on objects. Carter uses assistive technology including an electronic desktop magnifier and screen reader/magnification software to assist them in their work 💪💙
“I am a proud disabled person, and for the first time in my life I’m not the “Token disabled person” I have a whole network of colleagues with disabilities whom I connect with. The TAFE-Ability Network has been an instrumental part of finding my place here at TAFE NSW. The members share a wealth of experience and knowledge and the Network provides a safe space to raise issues and concerns and ask for advice”. 🌟🗣️ - Carter O’Leary

The 2024 theme “Finding Freedom” – with a focus on family – encapsulates the profound journey of resilience, strength, and unity that defines the refugee experience. This Refugee Week, we aim to shed light on the transformative power of familial bonds as well as chosen bonds in the face of adversity and emphasise the crucial role families play in providing solace, support, and a sense of belonging to those forced to flee their homelands.
