A small change can sometimes make a big difference.
Removing the modernised glass sliding window and installing our custom made double hung, brought back some of the original character of this much loved home.

Veranda renovation we completed in December.
Colonial lattice and French doors give the security and privacy that was needed on a corner block.
Custom made verndah arches externally with VJ linings internally are some of the deatails that help enhance this new living space.

Something Different…
We were given the task this year to reconstruct a slab cut building that had fallen into disrepair.
Reusing as much of the original hand cut timber as possible to recreate this pioneering hut now used as a wood shed in the Mt Glorious rainforest.

* Balustrades are secured with tenon blocks not just nailed or screws for safety and longevity.
* Galvanised rods through stringers to keep everything solid

Aluminium louvers had been installed to the facade which didn’t complement the house. We recreated the original coloured double hung windows to match the originals on the rite.
New windows are made from cedar and rosewood.

In 1889 my ancestors where given the task to help construct the new School of arts hall at Northpine (Petrie)
132 years later I was asked to help in the restoration of this now heritage listed building.
Heritage Carpentry was given the task of replacing the ornate front and rear barge boards and gable rolls to match the exact specifications of the originals.
We also carried out window restoration and some structural repairs.
The whole team really enjoy this job and I would like to thank MBRC and J&D Contracting for entrusting us with the project
