Hi team, any word of any particularly good streets for Halloween in Curtin? Thanks
These vandals have been at the old Curtin North Primary School for weeks - destroying the building and abusing those living nearby, including older residents at Storey Street Gardens.
They are known to Police who have been responding to calls every couple of days.

☕ A dementia village has been proposed for the former North Curtin Primary School site.

Lost young white rabbit. 82 Morgan crescent Curtin overnight. Medium size mixed breed.
His name is Santa- the white one below
He is desexed and microchipped.
If you find him can you please hold onto him and we can come and get him?
The 4 rabbits have broken out once before and don’t normally go far but this time around 3 were in the yard but not Santa.
Thanks everyone.
I’ve also put in Canberra Lost Pet a database too.

A request from one of our locals:
Does anyone have photos of the ‘No Galloping Horses’ sign that was damaged during the 2003 fires, in the Curtin reserve near Reibey Place and Munro Place. Before and after photos would be great.
Thank you!
🐍 Snake at North Curtin oval 🐍
Hi … My partner and dog encountered a four-foot brown snake near the bridge over the creek at the North Curtin ovals (where the baseball diamond is). The dog fought it off and flung it into the bushes. They’re both fine, though a little rattled by the scare, but just wanted to share this with the local community.
Cake Stall at 12pm today at the Curtin Shops.
Curtin Primary has an incredible two teams through to the International Tournament of Minds Final in Melbourne in October.
Please consider coming down to support their fundraising efforts
Another great local
You've probably heard that Mr and Mrs Prohibition are swanning around in Italy living the high life at a conference with our banner group Liquor Legends/ Urban Cellars... and we're already planning the slide night in the Waffler's Loft to share the trillions of photos of our adventures 😉

Well, the Curtin store has been recognised within our buying group of nearly 380 venues across the country as being the top wine venue for 2023, which simply wouldn't be possible without fantastic suppliers and terrific customers - salut!
What do you think?
A pilot program called “My little big idea” will be trialed in Richardson and Page.
Residents are invited to share ideas to help improve community wellbeing in their area, with up to $40,000 available in each suburb.
Whether it’s a street library, fitness or cooking classes, events or a series of activities, all ideas will be considered.
What would you want to see in your suburb?

Pots to Plots: Curtin’s Spring Fair—to celebrate Spring, Floriade and gardens, and to promote plants, gardening and the importance of green spaces and plants in our urban environment.
9.30 am – 12.30 pm in Curtin Square on Saturday 14 October—yes, it’s Referendum Day; if you are out and about to vote then come to the square.
You will be able to buy seeds, seedlings, plants, cacti and produce from the garden. Learn about gardens and tree planting around Curtin as well as native bees, permaculture and saving your seeds.
There will be community activities and entertainment as well, and a sausage sizzle.
It’s also the last Saturday of Floriade, showing off the flowers around the centre of Curtin that the Curtin Trees and Gardens group has planted for the Floriade community program.
Pots to Plots is supported by the Curtin Residents Association as our Spring event in the Square.

RETURNED - Please keep an eye out for this little red trike which has been taken a second time from the play area near the flood memorial Raingarden . It was taken before and came back broken my husband then repaired it with wooden inserts in the front wheel painted white so very recognisable . If someone had taken it please can you return it so other children can benefit from the play area . This little area has been going since 2020 started during Covid . It’s sad to think people just can’t enjoy and then leave them back where you found it . Please do the right thing .
