My best mate of 16 years and I were married a couple of weeks ago and we had the time of our lives! The whole weekend was crammed with laughing, hugging our loved ones, kids playing and delicious food and drink. Every element just felt perfectly suited to us.

We were married on a Sunday and so the day beforehand we had a big lunch with our friends and family so that everyone could get to know each other and catch up before the big day.

On Sunday, Ben and I greeted our guests together before walking together hand in hand down the aisle. We changed into our Birkies for comfort after photos and at the end of the day, took our guests to a private movie for popcorn, icecream and (more) champagne.

I always tell my wedding couples to go with vendors that they trust and boy howdy, did we have an amazing line up! Along with a team of Canberra wedding classics (full list of vendors below), we tried to keep things as personal and special to us as possible. A family friend made my dress (pink in homage to my grandmother who wore a tulle skirt in the palest pink to her wedding in 1953), my cousins made our amazing wedding cake, a beautiful friend (and one of my past brides) did my makeup.

Steph and Jarrod, like so many couples these days, had to wait for the perfect wedding day, the one that they’d always dreamed of together. But the wait was worth it! They finally got to celebrate with their friends and family and gorgeous kid all together in a very special location just out of Canberra. Such a beautiful day! ⁣

These high school sweethearts were married back in March. Their story of falling in love involves some great teen milestones - hanging out at lunch time and awkwardly holding hands on the way to the orthadontist. ⠀

I think there's something pretty spesh about couples who get together as teens and forge their way in the world together. Tess and Damien are no exception. They have super strong understanding of each other - from what makes them laugh to what will annoy the other most 😂⠀

Well well well. I had every intention of logging back on to Insta and updating you on the weddings that finished off my summer 2021 season. But, you know, one thing led to another and nine weeks ago, we welcomed this little champ, Vincent, into our life. I’ll be back on the emails next week (😬), responding to enquiries, locking in plans for when I’m back from maternity leave next year and posting about those last weddings before Vinnie arrived. It’s good to be back! 😘 📸

These two cute faces were married in February. Their ceremony was sweet, fun and just crammed with love. ⠀

Zac promised to always spray Heather’s sunburn with soov straight from the fridge without warning 😂and to love her unconditionally and whole heartedly with everything he has. ⠀

Heather promised to choose Zac over and over and over, without pause, without doubt and to keep choosing Zac for the rest of her life 😭 ⠀

This was a special ceremony for me. I'm good friends with these two and being able to party and celebrate afterwards (with delicious ) with some of my best mates was quite frankly, the greatest. I loved every second! xx

That's a wrap! I had my last wedding for the season yesterday! I'm going to take a few months off from weddings to spend with my little family and the new babe happily growing in my ever expanding belly 💕⠀

As a part time celebrant I am pretty selective about the weddings I book but this season has been both my busiest and happiest of all! Thank you to all of my amazing couples and the beautiful vendors I've been lucky enough to work with! 😘⠀
