New hand chiselled custom scoop. Many of the best batsmen used scoops back in the 70s and 80s, the Chappells, Hookesy, Laird, Woody. Then Lara got on board in the 90s to compile mountains more of scoopy runs!

Great to have old workmate and return customer Damian Cicchini drop by last week to select a new bat. He has made a couple of good starts this season, and with new RC willow under his arm he is almost certainly on the fast track to 50. Go well Damo!

Johnny Moran, suburban cricket legend, was hounded by the press last season following his superhuman feat of twin hat tricks in one innings versus Swan Valley in his bag of 8/8. (0/7 in his 1st over)
He professed to "trying to get out of the game" in the flurry of probing questions, but the lure of more pole parties and the opportunity of wielding a Richardson Cricket bat has pulled him from the brink of retirement yet again.
RC chewed the fat with JM over a pony shandy last week and gleaned some pearls of wisdom from the cricket legend-
"What do you bowl?"
Innies.
"Ever thought of bowling outies?"
Nuh.

Bomber alert! This one is shaping up nicely, an 89cm 3lb+ bruiser. Check the stitching on your balls because they are about to get compressed.

Talented Geraldton cricketer Callum Marquis can't stop smiling after winning his 3rd straight A grade flag with Towns cricket club. He also won the Bob Taylor Best Player Medal to emulate his father Gerard (2009-10), after scoring 56no in the final with his trusty RC blade! Nice work Callum.

RC batsman and bowler Johnny Moran has shown that his twin hat tricks in one innings earlier this year were not just a flash in the pan by winning the WASTCA Association Bowling Average and Aggregate trophies, his 6th and 7th for the club! The astonishing twin hat trick feat earlier in the season decimated 7th grade Swan Valley's innings and went on to gain Johnny an in depth channel 9 interview. He moved on from the dizzying heights of fame, and got back to the nuts and bolts of finishing off an amazing season with 31 wickets at an average of 11. Well played Johnny!

Congrats to Johnny Moran on winning his sixth and seventh Association bowling award tonight. Two hattricks and an 8/8 in round one will help that I guess.

Noah Langham knows how to have a good weekend. Just make runs all weekend with your RC bat! He made 60 for under 16s on friday night, 82 in the Tooradin seniors on Saturday and 52 retired not out on Sunday for under 14s. What a fantastic effort. He may have been tired but not as tired as the bowlers!
