Businesses don’t always have their business name on the 'contact us' page of their website, and this can be a costly error.
Google will use the info on the contact page to verify your business against listings on directories.
So, make sure you have your business name, address and phone number on this page.
I dare you to go and check it right now!

🔷 Blogging Helps SEO in a number of ways:
1. Additional content on your website can enhance your credibility and establish you as an authority within your niche for Google.
Suppose you run a pet boarding business. Publishing informative blogs about cats and dogs - that cater to individuals likely to board their pets with you - can significantly bolster your authority as a pet boarding website.
🔷
2. Blogging enables you to generate additional internal links to your primary service pages. This conveys to Google the significance of your service pages, contributing to improved search rankings. (Note: You should have a separate page for every service you provide.)
🔷
3. Blogs provide valuable and engaging material to share with your audience on social media. This encourages users to follow and engage with your brand.
This engagement on social media can lead to increased traffic to your website and improved Google rankings.

After we have done all the on-page SEO for our clients, we check to see which social media accounts they have.
The aim is to have a business profile on the 6 main social media accounts. These sites are very high authority: 90+/100. Having a link to your website in the profile bio is very powerful. (Provided your onsite SEO is set up well.)
Even if you don’t share anything on the social account, you should still have the link. However we always post some content on Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube for our clients as these are the ones they often don’t have anything on.

🔷 Are you listed on relevant online directories for your industry and location?
Listing on directories brings more clients from your local area -- but not because the person finds you on the directory.
What?!
It’s because directory listings help Google know you are a real business and therefore Google ranks your website higher in your local area.
When your website is ranked higher, more people find you and you get more clients.

🔷 Local SEO helps when you want more clients from your local area. This could be specific towns or cities, or areas within these.
People often think “Local SEO” means the SEO company is in your local area - but the SEO company could be based anywhere in the world.
The “Local” part is about reaching clients as close as possible to YOUR ideal location.
This reduces travel costs (for your business, or for clients coming to your location) and increases the number of jobs you can do.

In this blog, we’ll be discussing ideas for branded products that pet businesses – whether they're shops, shelters, veterinarians, or anyone else running a business in the world of animals – can sell.
Business owners know the importance and value of having a solid brand - colours, a logo, slogan, personality, mascot, etc. - but many don’t capitalise on these aspects of their business as much as they could.
The purpose of a logo, after all, is for your marketing, so why not put it everywhere you can to boost awareness of your business?
These products can increase awareness of your business, increase profits by expanding your business offering, and create more happy customers and fans of your organisation.
If you don’t want to sell them, you can always give them away as promotional items.

😺 If I get a new client who lists all of their services on one page of their website and has no other pages about these services, I know there is potential to get a lot more traffic to the client's website
Google takes people to a website page that is highly specific to their search. If someone types "cat grooming", Google takes them to a page about cat grooming. Google will not show a page that has all your services, like cat grooming, cat sitting, cat walking, cat enclosures, cat window boxes, etc...
😺 If a business has five services, we must create 5 pages. (We may keep the page that lists all 5 services, as it is useful for people who want to see all services - but we won't send traffic to it.)
All the URLs will be top-level. For example:
Domain/cat-sitting
not:
Domain/services/cat-sitting

Don't forget to consider adopting a rescue animal to increase your joy and give a pet a second chance :)
Misty has been in foster care at my house on the Sunshine Coast for nearly 6 months. She would love to have a family or a person to herself and to be able to roam around a whole house or apartment.
She has been in care this long because she is very scared of dogs so she needs a home without dogs.
Also, She came into care with her brother so she does have a history of being with other cats. However, she has been aggressive with other foster care cats. So she’s probably better off being the only cat.
She is 5 years old and is very affectionate with humans, and she will even lie on you in bed for short periods of time. She loves to play with dangling toys and is just a beautiful cat. She ideally needs a quiet environment where she can shower you with her love.
She is 5 years old desexed and vaccinated and due to the cat vaccine shortage is the only adult cat that I have available for adoption that can go to a forever home right now.
Please contact me if you would like to come and meet her. She is available for adoption through Found Hearts rescue for $150.

💠💠Are You Using 'Calls to Action?'💠💠
🔷As an SEO company, our main role is to get traffic to a website by working in the backend to help Google understand what the website is about. However, once the visitor gets to your website, you want a website that will get them to call you, email you or buy a product.
💠I generally have to add calls to action (or CTAs) to every website I work on. Adding a sentence that says “call or email us today for more info on…” on every page and blog post indicates that you are open to being contacted, and shows people how.
🔷Just imagine someone came to your front door and knocked. You can ask them to come inside or not. If you don’t ask them in, you're saying they're not welcome, which is fine.
💠But the same thing happens on your website. If you don’t invite people to contact you, they may not feel welcome, or may just not be prompted to try, so they will leave your site.
🔷The call to action is an invitation to come in and talk to you.

Sponsoring an animal charity can bring you more clients. You can sponsor local charities or nationwide charities depending on your target market.
Here are some ideas to achieve the win-win benefits of charity sponsorship:
🐈⬛Your business name/logo on their website
🐈⬛Their logo on your website
🐈⬛A page on your website about the charity and why you support it. (SEO the page and rank in Google when people search for the charity, increasing awareness of your business)
🐈⬛Talk about it on your social media
🐈⬛Email or physical newsletters to tell your followers
🐈⬛Create a fundraising event
Find out more about the benefits, and how to choose a charity to sponsor, in our recent blog post: largehope.com/adopt-cat-kitten/sponsor-an-animal-charity-through-your-business/
🐈️Sponsoring an animal charity can bring you more clients 🐈⬛
At Large Hope, we help animals by fostering. As an animal foster carer, you are responsible for buying the food, toys and litter, and taking the animals to vet appointments. You save animals from pounds and take in owner surrenders. It is time-consuming, but very rewarding.
Unfortunately, many business owners do not work from home or an office, so it is not practical to foster. Sponsoring a charity is a way you can contribute financially without giving your time - allowing others who don’t have money but do have time to do their part.
It can also be a good tax strategy to sponsor an animal charity. Big charities often have corporate and government sponsorship. Local charities often need the most support from their community. Choose whether to sponsor local charities or nationwide charities depending on your target market.
