Robbie's Jewellery
Made by Nature. Preserved by Robbie. Unique jewellery crafted from genuine Australian Flora.
Specialising in copper plated leaf and seed pod earrings and pendants.
I'm honoured by the recognition of my jewellery in the latest Trees for Life, Releaf magazine.
It is a pleasure to support their cause, through your purchases of my work. Every purchase of $60 or above equates to one tree purchased.
The full article and many other great stories in the magazine can be accessed via the Trees for Life SA website. https://treesforlife.org.au/
Nothing like a challenge, I'm thinking how cool this would look plated and framed π€©. Not sure if I can do it, but I'll never know if I don't try.
This is where you will find Robbie and Carol this month. Brave the cold, support local businesses, and enjoy getting out and about in the fresh winter air.

Sorry everyone, the weather wins this weekend, but why go out in the cold and wet weather, when you can shop Robbie's Jewellery from home and get a great deal!!
I'm thinking a 'Flash' End of Financial Year sale. For this weekend only, everything listed on www.robbiesjewellery.com.au will be discounted. Full details will be posted tomorrow..
Please share with friends and family so nobody misses out.
When did you last visit the Robbie's Jewellery website?
Over the past week I have been updating the listed items, removing old pieces and adding new ones. I still have more recent pieces to add and some more to remove over the next week. I then have plans to update and add to the additional information sections.
Add www.robbiesjewellery.com.au to your favourites and make a note to visit regularly so that you do not miss out on future additions.
One IMPORTANT change is I no longer offer free postage. Since Covid I have been sending all items via express post, because I know I you can't wait to get your purchase. The cost for this is now $14.40, which is a big chunk out of my pocket for items that typically cost $60. I don't want to increase my prices so the only option is to add on a small fee 'toward' (yes I will still cover part of the cost) postage. You now also have the choice of standard or express post. The additional postage is added on to your total when you checkout. I have set postage at $7.00 and $10.00 for standard and express post respectively.
Few quiet markets + busy weekdays = plenty of stunning pieces to choose from.
So good having a fantastic organisation in SA protecting and caring for our native environments. Check out the awesome news and stories, plus an amazing piece about yours truly βΊ.
Itβs here! Itβs finally here! π

With your help I have now reached 817 trees, Thank you.
But in the past couple of weeks I have seen posts showing multiple trees being cut down for so called developments. It will take years in some cases over a hundred years to replace these trees and the habitat they provide. At least the recent changes to the SA tree laws may help with better protection of our trees, but we all need to do more.
My small contribution is to donate to the Trees For Life (SA), Trees for Habitat program, and I can only do this with your support. It is an honour to be able to buy a tree with every sale of $60 or more. I feel it is my duty to repay the Australian flora for producing the stunning pieces I use in creating my unique jewellery.
See Sarah Andrews MP recent FB posts with details of the Marion trees and tree law changes and Adelaide Park Lands Association for details of trees being cut down around the city. Note that I selected these two pages simply because they caught my eye, and came up first when I wanted to add confirmation details to this post. I have no direct connection with either.

The past month has been an emotional roller coaster. Travelling so far to say goodbye to someone who has always been there. Dad had a good innings, living to the great age of 93 years. I knew the end was near due to dads failing health and dementia, but it does not make his passing any easier. I take comfort in knowing that dad is no longer suffering and that he can now rest in peace.
This picture was taken just north of Wroughton on a path up toward the Ridgeway on the day after dad's funeral. I needed time alone and for me nothing beats a long walk, although the 30 km or so was a bit further than I had first planned. It was a time to clear my mind, time to remember, time to reflect on the good times, and nothing beats a wonderful day enjoying nature.
I was going to post several pictures, but a single picture seemed more fitting for this post. I will consider posting more photos from my trip later when I have had time to recover from the journey now that I'm back in Adelaide.
Carol is keeping things ticking over back in Austrailia, while I'm on the emotional roller coaster in the UK. This weekend you will find her at the SA Autumn Garden Festival.
Check it out, say hello to Carol and don't forget the raffle, you could win a Robbie's Jewellery pendant necklace π
My few years of remotly caring for my dad came to an end on Good Friday when my dad quietly passed away. I'm now starting my journey back to the UK to say my final good bye. Dad had a really good innings living 93 adventure filled years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Obviously Robbie's Jewellery is not our priority. Carol will still run markets while I'm away, at least initially, but things are very much uncertain at the moment. Please be patient while we sort things out, but rest assured I love the creating way to much to delay things longer than absolutely necessary.
Thank you all so much for your ongoing support.
With Love,
Robbie

Pictured is Eicalyptus hispida.
Continuation from my last post, or an excuse to post another 10 pictures of recently sold beauties.
In this follow up post I want to put a more positive note on things, and again I would like your feedback in the comments.
I intend to spend more time on developing my website and I have a few ideas I would like to introduce. But time is always against me, and some will have to wait or even be abandoned. With this in mind, please comment on which of the following you think would be of most interest to you, and please add any topics you think I should consider.
* Detailed FAQ page (this is long overdue).
* Videos and demonstrations on how I create my jewellery.
* Articles on the science behind my work.
* Reviews of local artisans and artists that I have met through my work.
* Stories on my evolving native garden, the source of many leaves, flowers, and seeds that I use in the jewellery.
Thank you for reading to this point and an even bigger thank you if you read to the end of my last post as well. I really appreciate the support and encouragement you all give. Every like, comment, and share, provides a mini energy boost β€οΈ
Robbies Jewellery
Uniquely designed Jewellery crafted from natural materials.
Eucalyptus gum nuts are used as caps for tassels. I love searching for gum nuts with unusual shapes and features, which I can incorporate into my jewellery designs.
The surface patterning on quandong nuts is amazing. It is like observing a miniature landscape of valleys and hills. Cutting into this landscape reveals a thin surface crust over a darker inner layer with an edible internal seed, which is removed to leave a hollow core.
