Hello my name is Cassandra Tombs.
I have 20 years of making venues in Adelaide and Melbourne. I’ve worked for Festivals and as a photographer for live music. I was the instigator for small venues Liqour license reforms because I keep asking why?
Why can’t we have that?
Why are the rules the way they are.
Why can’t we change the rules to make small venues? I was in melbourne and a part of the very first wave of small bars.

I organised to use the abandoned Electra house as Tuxedo Cat and this helped Renew Adelaide get started.
Tuxedo Cat tested the waters.

If anyone is putting together a panel or discussions about how to rejuvenate adelaide, cities to connect people or how to sustain , live music etc I would really like to be involved.
I think I have more than proven my passion and knowledge accross multiple sectors of arts, building code, and placemaking and curating culture and great events.

So my hand is up.

Car people I need your help.
I have a 1997 Toyota Rav 4 - clutch slave cylinder has been replaced and now the lubemonil mechanic says that the whole clutch may need replacing. Quoting $2500.
Any Toyota people here or anyone know good honest mechanic.
I don’t really want to get rid of the car.

The council is not allowing ARTHUR-Art Bar / Innovation district to reopen without an acoustic report.
There are three companies in town who do them and they are all busy.
So please any acoustic engineers out there who love the arts and live music and all things grassroots and creative now is your time to shine. ⭐️🏆

Thank you everyone for your amazing support re the SAPOL saga.
Letters have all been sent to SAPOL.
In the weird way the law works the judge didn’t get the letters till tomorrow. 🤦‍♀️
So SAPOL have them for a full week befor the judge sees them.
I will be being cross examined by SAPOL and to be honest I’m having anxiety and stress and my heart is racing with fear. I’ve no idea what they will say or how they will try and entrap and twist my words. They have done this in the past.
Anyway if you want to come and see some real life immersive theatre.
The venue is the licensing court - Level 7 Riverside Building North Terrace.
Court starts at 11am I suggest you arrive around 10.30 to get best seats.😂
This show is general admission. Audience must be quiet and respectful at all times.

Good Morning- update in the SAPOL saga.
I am going to court again on September the 13th at 11am. If anyone would like to come and join me I think having a pose of support in the gallery and witnesses would be great. The judge can then see the support we have for what I am trying to do at ARTHUR-Art Bar / Innovation district.
Also if you are inclined to do so a letter of support explaining why Arthur and venues like it are important to Adelaide’s cultural economy and retention of youth. Our contribution to the arts and Live music. Also if you from Overseas and have been in one of my venues also feel free to write a letter of support.
