Always so grateful to be invited by to Prรผmcha - the first look at the Rieslings. The 2021 wines are a return to the classic cooler vintages - elegant, incredibly fresh and most definitely age-worthy. Not much Auslese produced due to the cool vintage but wow, they are incredible, serious swoon material ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐ŸคฆThank you to for the outstanding food pairings!

We drank this incredible wine to celebrate a few recent wins. This has to be the best Cinsault on the planet but there is so little of it available sadly. What a gorgeous expression of this often ignored variety. The name of the wine comes from the snakelike mountain buffering the vineyard. It is very close to my heart as I caught many a Poffadder/Puffadder growing up in South Africa!

We are huge fans of the Domaine Vincent Dureuil-Janthial wines. The 2018 Rully Blanc is a Village white (Chardonnay) but from domaine-grown fruit. Itโ€™s a super-intense and vibrant white Burgundy with a lot more chalky tension and flesh than you could possibly expect at this level. Pulpy, sexy, juicy nectarines. Not many leftโ€ฆ

Had the pleasure of working with some of the most incredible seafood from recently. This Mahi Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna both deserve an outstanding wine to match. The possibilities are endless!

We tasted a fantastic lineup of wines recently. We have always loved their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs but the 2018 Pinot Gris (current vintage) was a pleasant surprise but no surprise, everything they touch is turned gold!

We still have some of Luke Lambertโ€™s outstanding โ€™Crudoโ€™ Shiraz left. This is such a lovely style of the big grape. 60% whole bunch fermented (wild) and matured in a 5000 litre French Oak Foudre. No fining or filtering and only a touch of sulphur at bottling. A vibrant, juicy, fruit-driven Shiraz but with sophistication rarely seen at this price point!

Hail this Cab! The 2019 Die Hart Cabernet Sauvignon is a fantastic expression of South African Cab Sauv. Produced from the cooler southern area of the winelands (Walker Bay) fermented in old French oak (0% new oak was used). This wine has the hallmarks of classic Cabernet wines โ€“ cedar, to***co, some pretty herbal notes, blackcurrant and plum with a robust structure. โ€œDie Hartโ€ (pronounced DEE-hart) means โ€œThe Heartโ€ in Afrikaans. Drink alongside a Mediterranean style roast lamb leg while watching a Bruce Willis classic ๐Ÿ˜œ ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

The 2018 Albino Rocco Barbaresco Montersino is back in! The Montersino Cru is located at the southern tip of Barbaresco in Piedmont, Italy. If you love Burgundy you will kick yourself if you miss out on this (very limited) elegant but vibrant example of Nebbiolo .albino

The Torre Mora โ€˜Scaluneraโ€™ Etna Bianco is a gorgeous wine, comprising of 90% Carricante and 10% Catarratto. Itโ€™s zesty and zippy but quite concentrated at the same time. It displays layers of ripe lemon, persistent minerality and citrus-like acidity and kinda reminds us of a lemon drop cocktail! Think seafood pasta outside on warm nights like this
