Hi I am Suzie Crawford, Author of You Can. You are either just starting out in business, have been in business for a while or a large number of years.
Really it does not matter as far as knowing what you want from life. What I mean by that is your business of course is just something that is hopefully fulfilling your wants, needs and desires for your life. I say “hopefully” in adverted commas, as unfortunately a lot of business owners find that their business is not delivering on their wants, needs and desires for life. So whether just starting
out or having owned a business or businesses for years, you still have goals, desires, things that your business “should” be delivering on. Many people seem to forget this, even though it should be obvious. It’s common to get caught up in the actual role that we decide to take on as a business owner. What we need to do to make ends meet or address the bottom line. Initially we just want to be in profit asap. Then things like having time to do the things that the business should allow us to do become by the way side. Family then often suffers as a result. Health also often suffers. Lack of sleep is a common occurrence amongst many business owners which you may be able to identify with, due to money worries, staff issues the next project etc. So as you can see when these sorts of things are occurring it might be a good time to say, “is my business giving me what I wanted from life. In fact this question is a good one to ask yourself at various different stages. In the planning stage of a business you workout what the business plan is, but do you work out how that business plan fits in with your life plan? Do not get me wrong, I understand patience, hard work and making sacrifice at times can result in reaping the rewards later on. And if you have a structure, a system, a plan that takes that into account and are held accountable to it then it will deliver the life you originally was hoping for. So what I am all about is giving you the tools, the skills, the ability to make sure you know what you want, and making sure you have an actionable plan to so that “You can” make it happen.
