As a holistic nutritionist I treat the entire body, inside out, including our wonderful but often neglected and ignored pelvic area.
From puberty to menopause and beyond, our pelvic area provides us with clues about our health and, while there are many commonly seen symptoms, these are not necessarily “normal” and certainly deserve our attention, including:

The Pivot Period: I’ve been chatting to a lot of my beautiful clients and friends lately about their pain points as they reach their late 30s and beyond.
The biggest stand out so far is the number of symptoms so many of you are dealing with on a daily basis. Yes, weight gain or stagnant loss is mentioned a lot, but the underlying lack of energy, poor sleep and low moods really stood out to me.
A lot of clients were also “surprised” at how much a good nutrition plan has helped them to feel renewed: improved energy, vitality, more stable, uplifted moods, better gut health, better sleep, glowing skin, thicker hair, a higher libido and, yes, weight loss.
My approach is always holistic because your optimal health doesn’t just come from fixing one symptom; It’s treating you as a whole, and letting the many pieces of the puzzle that come with being female in this pivot period of our lives fall into place.
In my 11+ years of clinical nutrition, I have proven time and again that the best results come when you are supported holistically (congrats to my client today who has lost 4kgs/8cm off her waist in only 8 days 🥰🙏). Happy Easter weekend everyone!
I’m switching off for a few days to go camping with family, friends and the Easter Bunny 🐰
Here’s 5 little tips to get you through the weekend and prevent coming out the other side feeling like a giant Easter egg:
1. Eat dark chocolate over milk and white! It will reduce the sugar consumption 10-fold and reduce those skin outbreaks! Better still, swap it for a superfood hot choccy drink ☕️
2. Prefreeze your hot cross buns for 12 hrs: this will reduce their carb content by 30%
3. Add a tsp of MCT oil between meals for blood sugar stabilisation and carb metabolism
4. Increase your liver detoxing foods: lemons, coriander, beetroot, parsley, add in milk thistle and obviously loads of water; and
5. Keep moving!
