Our aim is to provide up-to-date information on regattas, training, and social events while providing a sailing pathway and Australian circuit that suits all sailors and their abilities in all 9er classes.
Great to see that we are promoting why we should sail - Great fun with lots of character building - keep up promoting sailing, not just the top levels of sailing.
Sailing a 29er provide sailors with the opportunity to compete around the world.

Fourteen sailors represent Australia at the 29er World Championship 2024 in Denmark, held at the Aarhus International Sailing Centre. Racing will occur from Saturday, August 3rd, to Friday, August 9th. Our teams hail from Western Australia (WA), New South Wales (NSW), and Queensland (QLD). We wish all our sailors the very best as they compete against 260 boats from around the world. The Australian Team comprises:

Nationals Planning Update….
The Qld 9ers are running a 3 day Harry Morton Camp from 13-15 December. This fits neatly between Sail Sydney and Sail Brisbane with several days either side for travel and recuperation.
The camp is open to all. Registration details will be posted shortly.
NB Sailsports have charter boats on their website for those traveling a little further for both Sail Brisbane and the Nationals.

Three Australian teams competed in the 29er Europeans which wrapped up today in Gdynia, Poland. Well done to Mia Austin & Zara Marks, Caitlin Harnett & Heidi Ferguson and Lucy Ferguson & Bella Armistead. And congratulations Mia and Zara for placing third in U17 females!
Good luck to Zara and Mia as they head to Germany for the 29er EuroCup at Warnemunde Week, and to all the Aussie teams heading to 29er Worlds in Denmark later in July. Great work sailors!
We now have 14 confirmed 29er entries for Gill Youth Week/Qld 9er States. Charter boats are available for anyone that would like to escape the cold.
