What a great day to get the old cars out. It was our annual Joe Steddy Rally day. Winner of the 40 klm av section was Pete and Sue in their Model A. 50 klm av section was Russell and Joy in their 1940 Buick and the 60 klm av section was Ray and Judy in their MGBGT they also took home the overall winners trophy.
Today was our branch midweek run. We went to Dardanup Heritage Park For a look through their museum. A great museum full of heritage items, mainly old tractors and large engines but also something for the ladies. Well worth a visit. check website for details.
Huge display at the foreshore today. Cruise ship and beer test happening.
This morning we had 8 cars display at Ellenvale aged care home. A lot of reminiscing about early days from the residents. Thanks to the staff for morning tea. On Saturday we do a cruise ship display near Equinox then next month we go to Ray Village.
Today we had the Indian Harley Club stop at our clubrooms for a wee break as part of their two day rally. Some great old bikes and old riders amongst them.

Todays display was at Acton Park Hall where they were the celebrating the halls 100 yr anniversary. Thanks to the committee for inviting our club to display. A warm day but we had a nice shady spot to sit. Thanks to members who turned up.
Just putting it out to all that the CWA and CWA belles are hiring our club rooms in the morning 9am to 12 for their annual Xmas markets. So please go along and support them as proceeds go towards renovating their own premises. Lots of bargains to be had
Last night our club displayed at Bunnings annual Xmas market. We had seven cars turn up after having 18 turn up for our cruise ship display earlier in the day.
16 ladies from the Veteran and Classic Car Club of W.A Busselton branch had their annual Christmas luncheon today at The Deck restaurant. The ladies generously donated $422.00 to the Busselton Hospice. Thank you to all the ladies.
Stolen from our club rooms is our near new Whipper Snipper. It was taken somewhere between the 28 Oct and 7th Nov. by some lowlife. Our members work hard to raise money to buy these items that are needed to do maintenance etc on the property. We consider stealing from not for profit groups or clubs the lowest of the low.

The weather gods were with us today for the SW British Auto Classic.103 entrants with some coming all the way from Perth. New this year were members from the Indian Harley Motor Cycle Club And The Old Machinery Club of WA coming along to display their old engines again. The winner of people’s choice award went to a Rolls Royce 1932 model 20/25. Thanks to all volunteers for your efforts, can’t happen without you.
After todays meeting it was off to Ludlow for a display at the Ludlow Forest settlement.The weather was kind to us after yesterday’s heat.16 members turned up. A good turnout. Good to have look at the work being done by volunteers of the old settlement. Plenty of interest in the cars with a few potential new members.
Thankyou to Lyn and Glen and your group of helpers for setting the Joe Steddy rally today. Tha weather was kind to us with no rain. We had some cars from the A model Ford club and VCCC members from Collie join us. After presentations a Rocker cover race track was set up and about ten rocker covers raced off. Congrats to all winners.
Thursdays Midweek run was to Collie for lunch at the Federal Hotel. morning tea at Donnybrook where a couple of members from Donnybrook branch joined us. On to Federal hotel in Collie where Collie branch joined us for lunch. Lovely spring day for a 120 klm drive. After lunch we were invited to view a Collie members collection of cars. Thanks to Gary and June for organising the day.
Old Car Coffee Run out to Hippo Lake today. great venue. 9 cars , 15 members enjoyed great cakes and coffee.
Today our club travelled to the Nannup Flower and Garden festival for a display. 12. Cars showed up for a pleasant day with no rain until the trip home. take a drive to Nannup next weekend and enjoy what they have to offer. Many flowering tulips and market stalls to keep you interested. Go the Eagles.
Todays midweek run for an hours drive through the backroads to Margaret River Rotary park for morning tea. A bit tricky today after the storm which left trees over the road and many potholes but we got there in one piece. Then on Surfers Point to check out the surf, from there to the viewing area at Boranup Forest. A photo opportunity we could not resist of Rays MG coming down through the Kari trees recreating our mural at the club rooms. Then to Pies and Ale for a pie lunch. Thanks to our hosts for a enjoyable time.
A cool day for the Old Car Coffee Run. A short drive out to Anniebrook for morning tea. 7 old and 1 modern made the trip (15) people. Freshly made scones and good coffe And the ladies had a good look through the farm gift shop. Thank you to Dawn and Wally for their hospitality.
Sunday was our annual Xmas in July event. 24 cars ventured down to Cowaramup for morning tea with 3 different routes taken that I know of. Sun was out which made a pleasant morning tea stop. Back to the clubhouse for a 2 course meal served by SW Professional Functions and a quiz and raffle. Great day out thanks to Lyn, Glen, Tony and Helen for work in organising the day.
Todays rally was the Hunter Heritage Rally. 12 cars entered and the starting point was Acton Park Hall with morning tea stop the Rosa Brook hall. Thanks to the Rosa Brook CWA ladies for serving up morning tea. Great job ladies. Travelling down to Rosa Glen and Redgate we ended up in Margaret River for lunch at organiser Rob Loof house for lunch stop.
Winner on the day was Rob and Jean ( EH Holden) narrowly defeating Russell and Joy ( 1928 Falcon Knight) Taking out the naga was Nugget, Auntie Dot and Lyn ( sigma ) Unfortunatly the Falcon Knight had to come home on a tilt tray. leaking head gasket. Thanks to Westwide Tilt Tray Service For their excellent service.

Had three members bring their Landrovers to the meeting on Sunday. Celebrating 75 years since production started. Would have been good to have more but it is what it is.
Just letting everyone know that on Sunday during our monthly meeting we are intending to have a display of Landrovers as it is 75 years since this iconic vehicle started production. So if you have one or know of any out and about it would be great to have them come along. 9am to approx 12 noon at our club rooms on Causeway Rd , Busselton. Please share to get post to as many people as possible.
