Indoor plants: Yay or nay?
This month's 'Plant Of The Month' goes to Devil's Ivy (Golden Pothos).
We don't just love this plant because it looks gorgeous and is a great home plant. But this plant can be placed in low light and cool temperatures such as an air-conditioned office or an outdoor garage. And best of all? It will remove ozone, which is found in car exhaust fumes.
Plus, did we mention it looks super fabulous in our Hanging Planter Baskets?!
Helen! You're the best. Thank you for your 5-star review. And yes, our Hanging Planter Basket does come in lots of colours! Which one did you end up choosing?
It wouldn't be hump day without some plant memes, right?!
5 reasons why we love our Rose Gold Stainless Steel pegs:
✔️ Who doesn't love rose gold?!
✔️ They will last forever and are rust and corrosion proof. Meaning you will never have to buy or throw away pegs again!
✔️ Despite being made from premium quality 316 marine grade stainless steel, they won't get too hot to touch in the sun.
✔️ They are an eco-friendly alternative to harmful plastic pegs
✔️ It's time to make the washing experience more enjoyable with these gorgeous pegs!
Australia has a population of over 25.7 million people. Let's say that just a quarter of the population tossed out 10 plastic pegs a year (which is conservative!), there would be a staggering 64 million pegs going into landfill every year.
That’s over 330 tonnes of non-biodegradable plastic being dumped into landfill, every year, just in Australia. And in case we didn't make it clear before, these are conservative numbers!
This is exactly why we stock sustainable pegs and peg baskets that not only will withstand the harsh Australian elements, but look pretty cool too. While our Hanging Planter Baskets are guaranteed to last 10 years, our stainless steel pegs will last FOREVER!
It has long been known that being close to nature is linked to positive mental well-being. In contrast and because of this, people living in urban areas have been shown to have a disadvantage in processing stress.
And while there are many factors in this, being around plants, nature, and greenery are big contributors. Because Plants remove volatile compounds from the air including ozone and carbon dioxide, and turn the carbon dioxide into oxygen, they drastically improve the air quality. And you know what that means? With higher levels of oxygen inside, the wellbeing for occupants may be improved.
But that's not the only reason why plants are great. Did you know that viewing plants reduces stress and is pleasing to the human eye?
Nature therapy (shinrin-yoku), first invented in Japan, has proven beneficial for our health by lowering blood pressure and boosting mental health. This is done by simply going for a mindful walk in the forest.
So, what we are trying to say is that if you don't have plants in your home, you're missing out!
