Some people say the bigger the better... I don't usually subscribe to that philosophy but my new lunar calendar for 2024 just landed and it's definitely bigger and possibly better! It's still has all the goods from this year's version but now features a lunar planting guide, spring & neap tides and highlights Mercury in retrograde dates so you can plan around life's turbulence and much more. Even though everything else is going up, I'm keeping this at $30. Available now vis my website and selected stores soon
Solstice blessings to you all. May the light within and out glow brighter with each coming day 💫☀️
Today marks the autumnal equinox or Mabon. It is the second harvest festival in the Pagan Wheel of the Year — a time to be thankful for the bounty of the Earth and a time to honour the fruits of our labour.
As the earth spins and tilts further from the sun, the days will begin to get shorter as we edge towards winter. But today we experience the balance of light and darkness in equal measure.
This year’s equinox coincides with a potent new moon in Aries which augurs a powerful time to set deep intentions to harvest in due time. Happy manifesting!
It's so nice to read some good news for a change! 26 Australian species no longer need threatened listing after conservation efforts. May we do more to protect our vulnerable creatures and bring them back from the brink! Happy Friday! 🌱🌏
Happy solstice! The official start to the astronomical summer and the longest day of the year here in the southern hemisphere. A day to draw on the abundant light available within us and outside of us in the natural world — it is a time to celebrate and nourish our souls. May you bathe in the light with the ones you love ☀️
Here's my new Solstice Tree print and the symbols for Litha from my Lunar Calendar 🌕💫
It’s the last full moon of the year tonight and it is in Gemini. Full moons are a time of illumination and reflection of our journeys wherever we’re at in our lives. A culmination of understanding our paths and an opportunity to think about what direction we want to head in for the future.
For the next five retail customers to purchase my calendar I’ll be giving away a 50 cm wooden magnetic poster hanger so you can hang it on your wall 🌕
Merry Festivus! Sending good wishes to you and the Earth 🌏✨
I'd like to introduce you to some new furry friends of mine...
Bilby Moon, Pygmy Possum and Sugar Blossom.
We've got some pretty cute marsupials here in Australia and I thought it was about time I gave them some love, so I've made a whole new category just for them — Marsupialia Australis.
Hope you like them 🤗
We’re in for another celestial treat this evening — the annual Leonids meteor shower is due to give us a light show tonight and in the early hours of tomorrow morning.Although not the most prolific, they can be very bright. If you’re lucky enough to have clear skies, look up to the constellation Leo where they appear to emerge from. Just look for the back to front question mark to find it 💫
Tonight we’re in for a celestial treat if we look up into the sky just after 8pm AEST. It will be our last chance to see a blood moon total eclipse until 2025! The totality begins at 9.16pm AEST
The next lunar eclipse will be a penumbral event in May on the cross quarter where there is just a partial shadow of the Earth on the moon and hard to spot if you’re not looking for it.
Hope the skies are clear for you all tonight to witness this cosmic beauty where the moon, the Earth and the sun are in complete alignment 🌕🌏☀️
It's Bird Week and the great Aussie Bird Count is on @ BirdLife Australia
These are just a few of my feathered friends who visit my backyard most days here in the mountains
They're here!!! Ready to ship to you in eco-compostable kraft tri-tube packaging. 2023 Lunar Calendar Pip and Pod Paper Designs
Today is the spring equinox — a moment in time when the day holds both light and dark in equal measure. A time of awakening and potential. The promise of light and warmth after a long, cold winter is a time to regenerate and plant some seeds for growth and a harvest to come.
I’m planting some seeds of my own to manifest more creativity, balance and connection in my world.
What would you like to see in your own world in the coming months? Today is a good day to sow them 🌱🌕
Here’s a sneak peek at my southern hemisphere Lunar Calendar for 2023 which will be available very soon.
You can see it in more detail on my website here: https://pipandpod.com.au/shop/calendar/lunar-calendar/
I love growers markets where I can find plants to add to my garden. Couldn't believe my luck when I came across this gem recently. I'll find a good spot in my bush garden and hope the rock wallabies don't think it's too tasty! Hopefully one day it will thrive and burst into bud like the blossoms in my Hakea Blooms design.
So excited to say that all of my products are now 100% compostable, renewable and plastic-free!
Some days I feel like I’m drowning in plastic… The overwhelm and onus of recycling and dealing with all the excess packaging we have responsibly weighs heavily on me.
When I first started Pip and Pod, I searched high and low but couldn’t find any alternatives to plastic sleeves to protect my cards for my wholesale customers, but I have finally found a solution! I’ve been able to source certified compostable plastic-free sleeves and stickers. It feels good and now the overwhelm is a just a little less.
I have so much gratitude for the generosity of people in this world — thank you! It felt good to deposit the money raised by some very generous customers to Givit and UNHCR today.
This phoenix design with sunflowers was inspired by the struggle in Ukraine and all those who rise above destructive forces in their lives and start afresh.
This mythical bird is a symbol of regenerative energy in many cultures — it brings with it hope, life, love and peace — things we all need in this world right now 💫🌳♥️☮️
Pretty excited to have some new designs in my hot little hands and restocks of some of my bestsellers too!
You can see all of them here: https://pipandpod.com.au
As we look on at the horror unfolding on the other side of the world it’s hard to imagine what they are living through. I have family members still in Ukraine, some have managed to escape across the border to Poland and I’m grateful they are safe for now. This is a humanitarian crisis and I want to help somehow.
So for this month and all of April I am donating 100% of sales for my Peacewings greeting card to the UNHCR to the Ukraine emergency fund: https://www.unrefugees.org.au/emergency-response/ukraine-emergency/donate/?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=donate.unhcr.org&utm_campaign=AU_PS_EN_globalredirect&utm_tag=&utm_content=&utm_email=&utm_package=&code=OBAGR0019
You can find it here: https://pipandpod.com.au/shop/feathered-friends-greeting-cards/peace-wings-greeting-card/
Or you can go direct to UNHCR to donate. This is an excellent list of other ways to help in this crisis: https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/content/ways-to-help-ukraine-conflict/?fbclid=IwAR0GULXsoqnS8iF2FwboDGCoV1VyM8SzqbGIgi7PqGBnKuA0oB6assgg1JQ
It’s been a big couple of weeks both locally and globally…
We’ve seen absolute devastation up and down the east coast of Australia, there are people in so much need of assistance. So many have lost everything — it’s heartbreaking to see.
I think like many people I’m feeling a little overwhelmed and powerless at the moment. I want to help, I can’t be there physically to help with the clean up but we can all contribute in different ways.
So for all of this month and April I will be donating 100% of retail sales from my Paint me a rainbow series to GIVIT to help flood-effected people in NSW and QLD.

Sending love and peace out to you all this Christmas.
We hope you get to hold the ones you love and the new year to come is better than the last ♥️
Feeling a bit elated and grateful to have had my first hands-on experience with a beehive today 🐝
We've given our honeybees a hive upgrade using a couple of pieces of old tree trunk. Just to the right are two native bee hives in hollow stumps.
I've seen four different species of bees in the garden today, including the blue-banded bee. Can't imagine what life would be like without these guys. Love smelling the honey they're busy making 💛
