Today, we had the joy of fitting a little one with custom Ankle Foot Orthotics featuring a delightful bunnies design. Paired with adorable pink Billy shoes and matching pink socks, she’s all set with a fabulous Barbie-style look! She’s thrilled and can’t wait to show off her new gear to her friends. 💕

This week, we observe Birth Trauma Awareness Week, and we would like to share the true story of small Addison and her mum, Danielle. Addison’s story was captured in the book written by her mum titled “The Magic Helmet” ⬇️❤️

“My own journey with birth trauma began with the birth of my daughter, Addison, marked by unexpected challenges that left lasting scars, one of ours was Addison had to wear two different helmets to correct her head shape, a situation that brought its own set of challenges and heartaches however as a part of my healing journey I decided to write a book that I self published to rewrite our extremely traumatic birth into a positive for her, raising my daughter to see the good in the bad.

This Magical Book is actually Dedicated to Ryan and his team at SSS Prosthetics and orthotics.

They went above and beyond to help correct Addison's head shape from an injury sustained at birth and gave her amazing superpowers and for that I am forever grateful for the team and the incredible inspirational work they carry out daily.

This book is also for any baby who has had a helmet as it can be a difficult time for parents going through this journey this is a keep sake book for your little one and I hope it brings strength to you and your child as you read it.

To all the parents out there, your journey is a testament to your incredible strength. You are not alone, and there is hope and healing ahead it takes along time and to be honest never goes away but with the right team of people it can get better.” Danielle

Our client is now equipped with a waterproof recreational fishing prosthesis sporting a vibrant Marlin print, and also an everyday prosthesis featuring the dynamic Ottobock Taleo foot with an awesome Marvel Ironman print.

Check out our latest custom fit - new Neuro Swing Ankle Joint. The design is sleek and stylish, featuring customer’s totem, a stingray. Paired with his blue and white Billy shoes, which are super easy to zip open, the look is both functional and fashionable.🦈

🏆 Yesterday marked a historic moment in Australian sports – the first-ever amputee fight, and we were honored to witness it firsthand! 🙌

One of our very own clients stepped into the ring, demonstrating incredible courage, skill, and determination. Both fighters displayed amazing tenacity and deserve our utmost respect. This is a true testament to the power of perseverance and the human spirit. 💪👏

All clinics will be closed from today Friday the 22nd.
Cairns will be open again on the 2nd of January.
Mackay and Townsville are back on the 8th of January.

This new knee disarticulation socket will help “make every second count”! The Ottobock pediatric 3R39 knee is a great choice for our young client to allow for knee flexion when sitting, but stability during walking.

These new shoes will help our client put their best foot forwards!

We had part of our team attend Congress this week. It was such an awesome event that has left us inspired to create better clinical care, collaboration and introduce some amazing new technologies.

What a great event in Cairns. Well done to Amputees Queensland and their volunteers to organise a long over due social gathering. We can't wait to see how the group builds in the Cairns region. A special mention to Ottobock Australia for their support and providing the awesome gift packs.
