MOTHER’S DAY
That’s another Mother’s Day done and dusted!
Ornamental kale must be one of my all time faves. THAT PURPLE! *Gush* And another fave in the Honeyglow proteas. I’m always thanking my lucky stars when these babies bloom in time for Mother’s Day. So much floral happiness right here. Hope they fill their homes-to-be with joy!
Big shout out to all the amazing Mums out there that we have the pleasure of knowing, loving and sharing life with. And to all those for whom Mother’s Day is tough, we stop to think of you all too. Now I’m heading home to rest with a Gin and Tonic. Phew!
WREATH MAKING
Have been winding grapevines with friends the past few days, in readiness for some Anzac Day orders for tomorrow (The chook didn’t help).
There is really no need to use foam wreaths when nature provides the perfect reusable and biodegradable materials for wreath-making. Flowers and foliage can be tucked into the gaps to create a full and lush wreath to pay our respects with. No wire or waste at all is required.
Sometimes it’s just so satisfying to keep it simple
SUSTAINABLE FLORISTRY
I’m still feeling SO inspired by a 2-day course I completed a few weeks ago with in Melbourne on the topic of Sustainable Event Installations. Alyssa is a wealth of knowledge on the subject and has created an amazing business model around her environmental values.
I’m loving following some amazing florists working in this space like and seeing pictures of the amazing display by was also very inspiring!
Watch this space….

I can’t wait to share more of this AMAZING wedding with you!!
But for now, a massive shout out to all the local growers who supplied flowers for this epic event!
Dahlias and cosmos in particular don’t transport well, so we literally couldn’t have done it without our amazing network of local growers .fruit.flowers

WEDDING SEASON
This couple! OMG…. 😍
So much personality, time, effort and a truckload more personality went into this wedding! I just loved the way Alanna + Cody brought so much of themselves into the planning and… what. a. result! These guys totally rocked it! 🙌
And more importantly, it looked like they had a damn good time!
I was absolutely loving the dark and moody tones for this wedding. Such a fun palette to work with and the textures really shine through.
They got married at the which is really hard to beat for a venue jam-packed with character! Photos by the amazing who always manage to mixup the traditional “wedding photos”. SO GOOD!
Thanks for including me as part of your special day Alanna + Cody! It was an absolute pleasure #3282
DAHLIA SEASON
Ok so I really struggle to post on socials at all, let alone of myself (shudder)…
So this is me putting myself out there with some pics my sister took of me in my happy place, outside in the dahlia patch.
I work with parents and babies by day, and flowers any other time I get, when I’m not hanging out with my beautiful family.
It has been a busy time of weddings, funerals and plenty of general flower cheeriness for friends and for strangers. But as my friend at .fruit.flowers said recently, my patch never ceases to amaze me with what it can produce! Just when I think I won’t have enough, I find some ‘gold’ tucked away somewhere. It’s a jungle of surprises.
Really, I feel very lucky to live amongst this lushness (weeds and all), with an amazing flower community nearby who help make the journey all the more enjoyable .portfairy .fruit.flowers
I still have vacancies for weddings in 2023 so get in touch if you’d like to chat!

VENUS PROTEA
I know I shouldn’t have favourites but… these beauties hold a special place in my heart ❤️ It’s funny, the bush itself is really quite ugly, but then these pop out and take my breath away!
These were for one last birthday order yesterday before heading off to Queensland for some warmth and theme park fun!

PASTELS
The last of the honey glow proteas for the season, mixed in with some beautiful pastel roses ordered in for an event a few weeks back.
As winter sets in, I’m turning my attention to planning the garden beds. More roses to go in! Plus we have been busy planting banksias and wattles for windbreaks, which will double as an extra picking spot. Mind you, it’s pretty hard to step away from the fire right now!
WEDDING SEASON!
As the weather cools and we have just one wedding left for the season, we will be taking a bit more time to slow down and reflect on some of the BEAUTIFUL weddings we have had the pleasure of being a part of this season!
Flash back to December 2021, Emily + Tim were SUCH a pleasure to work with, and when the brief included COLOUR, in particular orange, I was so excited!!!
captured these most amazing images of the day, with the reception at the beautiful
Well, all reports state these fluffy apricot roses were a hit, and wow, can you see why? Helps when you have an amazing supplier of quality Victorian blooms from to supplement the leukaspermums, kangaroo paw and proteas grown here on our little hobby farm.

CAFE AU LAIT DAHLIAS
These beauties really do make me want to eat them, they are that delicious to the eye!! Any other dahlia lovers feel the same or am I complete weirdo?? Quite possible.
Love how much my cafe patch has grown this year and seeing the range of colours these beauties give off. Especially at that heavenly golden hour.
WEDDING SEASON
Wow!!! I’m blown away by these AMAZING photos by the very clever from a wedding we did a few weeks back now.
Haven’t Becca + Justin just nailed it?
Set on their property in Heywood, the set up was so conducive to an almighty party! These two just look so comfortable in their home setting and like they truly enjoyed themselves. And man do I love their style 🙌
Congrats lovebirds!
On a side note- why do always get the best, most easy-to-deal with brides? Where ARE all the bridezillas?
Always love a wedding brief that includes RED!!! 😍
These gorgeous red Pom Pom dahlias came from and the wedding held at with the talented involved too. What an amazing bunch of local businesses we have here in Koroit! #3282
