Highlander Brave Hearts vs Crusaders
Congratulations to Lachie Albert and Oliver Haig on their game against the Crusaders Development side. While the game didn’t go their way, it’s always great to see our alumni play together all around the world. In the case of Lachie and Oliver, they were playing together 10 years after they both represented Cavaliers in the first ever Cavaliers tour to Armidale in 2014. Congratulations to them both and hopefully we get to see more of them as the year progresses
Alumni Signing Alert 🚨
Congratulations to Simeone Schmidt on joining Hanazono Kinetsu Liners in League One in Japan. Congratulations to Paulo on his professional debut on the weekend, coming off the bench for Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées in their European Challenge Cup match against the Cheetahs. Paulo was heavily involved in Cavaliers as a junior, participating in various tours and camps over the years. We congratulate him again and wish him well for the start of a very promising rugby career
10 Years
2024 marks the 10 year anniversary of Cavaliers. To celebrate this, we are proud to announce 3 very exciting pieces of news this evening.
The logo: To celebrate 10 years, Cavaliers will be using a new anniversary logo as seen in the image below. The logo is an update on the traditional Cavaliers logo, holding onto the main elements of the logo while adding 2 pieces of information (10 years and 2014-2024) to celebrate this achievement.
Website: In addition to the logo, Cavaliers have created a brand new website. While still in its infancy, the website makes it easier than even to get in touch with us, find out about our services and history and see our past, including where we have been and who has been with us
Next Gen: The last piece of news today is the launch of Cavaliers Next Gen. Next Gen is a new branch of Cavaliers that aims to have a greater involvement in the development of rugby within the local community. Through initiatives such as clinics, private coaching, holiday camps and tours, Cavaliers Next Gen aims to provide the highest quality coaching service to the greatest number of aspiring players as possible.
To find out more information on our website or Cavaliers Next Gen, visit the link in our bio for both the website and the Next Gen instagram page (cavaliersnextgencoaching).
From us here at Cavaliers, Merry Christmas everyone. We hope you all have a safe and happy break and we can’t wait to see you all again in 2024

From Cavaliers to Australia
Our u19s boys were not the only Cavaliers to compete in Dubai this weekend. Dally Bird, Ben Dowling and Ben Dalton were all apart of the Australian 7s Mens squad that played in Dubai, with Ben Dalton making his debut while Dally and Ben Dowling continued their ever growing 7s career.
However, this was not the first time these boys had played together, as all 3 had represented Cavaliers in the NSW 7s State Championship in Forster in 2019.
It is always great to see the success of Cavaliers players, but it is even more special when they can all do it together.
Catch them all again this weekend as they all take the field in Cape Town for the second leg of the HSBC Svns series
