This week is national Advance Care Planning week. Life is full of uncertainties and it's important to plan for the future, especially when it comes to your health.

📝An Advance Care Directive is a legal form that allows you to make your wishes for future care known in the event you're unable to communicate them yourself due to an illness or injury.

If you're unsure how to start, the Advance Care Directive Kit includes a step-by-step guide, as well as the required form to complete an Advance Care Directive yourself without help from a professional, such as a lawyer.

Visit www.advancecaredirectives.sa.gov.au to download free resources or view the full list of collection points for a free hard copy of the Advance Care Directive Kit.

It’s important that you stay home if you’re unwell to stop the spread of illness to others.

Not all people will recover from illness quickly.

Staying home and resting will protect people who are at risk of getting very sick.

Other ways you can protect people include:
• Wearing a mask indoors
• Testing for COVID-19 if you have symptoms
• Practicing good hygiene by regularly washing or sanitising your hands.
