Position purpose The purpose of this role is to create individualized strategies for people with disabilities that are responsive to the person’s needs, in a way that reduces the occurrence and impact of behaviours of concern and teach functional skills to replace the behaviours of concern.
Main tasks

Core objectives include:

• Plan, implement and evaluate individual behaviour therapy programs
• Assisting clients in developing healthier thought patterns and behaviours
• Analysing clients’ behavioural patterns to diagnose mental health disorders
• Developing suitable treatment programs based on clients’ diagnoses
• Complete documentation in line with professional standards

Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or above in Behavioural Science/ Psychology/ Education / or practical training in Applied Behaviour analysis or equivalent

ABA is a science of ‘behaviour change’ with a focus on application of behavioural principles to improve the socially significant issues such as challenging behaviours and learning (Baer, Wolf, & Risely, 1968).

ABA is usually applied to teach positive behaviours to individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities and beyond. It focuses on providing treatment plans to improve desired actions in individuals and extinguishing unwanted behaviours. ABA is important in supporting individuals to -
